Hey guys, i have this noise coming from the area where my interior lights are

I took it apart and found that it was this little motor.

    So i dissconnected it.

Any idea what the hell it does???

Its like just above your head when your sitting in the car where the door lights are and the inter lights are.

Is there to draw air accross a sensor for the climate control system. There is an article in the tech section on how to quieten it down.

on this point, my air con is now either on or off ie no temp control

due to microtech ECU. so i am guessing that i could now remove this fan and sensor?

    And if you do ...

you might sell it to me. Mine is stuffed beyond the point of making it quiet again. Looks like this when its out.

Looks like it's just come unclipped at the front?

Mine was pretty stuffed, I ended up replacing it with a small computer fan from a laptop. Works a treat. Was a PITA to do though.

The A/C has it's own computer, so I doubt that the MicroTech has

anything to do with temperature control in the C/Control system.

The A/C controls also go through the ECU, hence you can connect to the A/C system via conzult tuner.
