So this is more of a facepalm update than a progress update. After reorganising my garage I found the clutch slave - still attached to the donor car  At least I have it and now my garage is tidy.
There is a "VERY WISE" saying...... "It's a POOR TRADESMAN that blames his Tools" ....JUST SAYING........:rolleyes2::br:
Anyway. So I'm currently trying to replace my reverse and neutral sensor. Damn things are stuck on there and I'm on the edge of rounding the head. I've sprayed them with WD40 so let's give that an hour and see. I really should have taken them out when the gearbox was down. I really don't feel like taking it down again. But if those sensors don't move I just may have to drop it again and address them...
Question: If the sensors are stuck, can you use the regular bolt removal techniques to take it out? I'm talking: heat, tapping it, welding a bolt onto it etc?
So here's an update. I think ive threaded the bolt hole for the starter. The bolt hole on the gearbox. The rest is going ahead but nearly there. The electronics are the last bit
Should be an easy fix with a time sert, helicoil, or self tapping insert. http://www.crosstools.com.au/thread-repair---which-type-is-best-for-you.html
So during my rookie disassembly I managed to stuff up parts of my auto harness as well. And none of the wiring from the Aus spec seems to want to fit into my zed. So my entire conversion is now waiting on getting a wiring harness for the transmission. Everything else is done. Some small bits of the interior remain but that's only like a day or so. If I can't source one locally, I'll have to fork out for the wiring specialities one.
I've plugged in a manual harness from the gearbox to the alternator and up to the plugs behind the driver's headlight. All the plugs fit except for one grey one. On the auto, it's a 3 plug pin and the manual wiring harness has a 4 plug pin. Does anyone know if I can splice/replace this plug into the automatic's 3 pin plug? See if the pics help:
Update: Clutch lines in bled and tested (had to get help to figure out what was going on.) Car is now at the Westside Autohouse (Deano's Garage) Getting a 100k service done as well as the last of the wiring. Basically it's going into the workshop, I'll be paying money and it'll come out a RWC, rego ready car (hopefully).
