  2. Wonder if they can be switched to manual mode if someone boxes you in. Would suck having to wait for an idiot incapable of parking correctly.

If they have to go out before they go up, don't bother.

:rolleyes2: Why ? That's how mine work and if some twat parks to close I only have to open door out 3 inch then all the way up.My doors can be used out or up,so I like to much of a good thing, but that's just me :D:br::zlove::rolleyes2:

Because if they have to go out first they just look like a cheap afterthought bodge modification to a normal car.

  9. Yours are like the video and actually work in tight spaces? I've always been put off by the thought if being locked in. Did you weld yours to the body?

:br: Hi Mate no its all bolted in looks real neat and if I need to I can put it back to the stock door workings. When I first went to look at the car I had no I dear it had lambo doors,or that it was 2+0 and JDM Slick top so my dreams where half way there. :rolleyes2::br::zlove:

Correct, vertical doors on a car not designed for them look tacky. You look at how the manufacturers do it vs bolt on aftermarket kits and it's night and day.

I'm having a great day. Not hating, car customisation is about the owners tastes. I gave my opinion, i think they look tacky and out of place, like ferrari tail lights and aston look-a-like front grills, i however would applaud fine craftmanship, just never seen it on scissor door kits. If you do it right then you incorporate the edge of the roof and a-pillar into the door and lift vertically, not out then up.

They have a place and purpose.

    But add feckin weight..
I'm still fence sitting if I keep mine or not.
Or if I continue with my 90degree mechanised hinge (more weight)

Very well said...i had the same sentiments but was playing nice. I have lambo doors and LOVE it. With door closed, you couldn't tell the difference and it doesn't have to be lifted up every time. Opening the door is no different to stock if parked in tight spot.

I understand its a forum and everyone has opinions but the way one expresses them, just shows what ethos they have. Everyone has their own taste, preferences, purpose.....bugger it, I am not going to waste anymore of my key strokes!

  17. So a few people are running them with success. Might start looking into it again.

    just a question

How do they go with engineering and such? Just that I have heard that some kits can be hard, if not impossible to get engineered :(
