Hey guys, haven't asked anything technical in ages, because my car is well pretty much hell reliable (mostly due to injecting money into it and getting a full rebuild years ago and proper maintenance) but if something goes wrong I normally have nfi :p as I'm not a mechanic, hence why I love you guys :)

Couple of things and I think they'd be pretty basic.

    1) I'll start with the first and that is seems like you are almost lifting and pushing down on the accelerator really fast with your foot (like mini kangaroo hoping?) When car is accelerating hard. I was thinking spark plugs but I bought the proper gapped ones awhile ago and coil pack connectors etc and the problem went away but now its back.....

    2) Steering goes hard and soft, I think I spoke to Tektrader AGES ago about this but I forgot what he said to be honest because it went away but now it comes and goes. Sensor or something easy he said?

    3) RPM on idle. This has started not so long ago, just stays high (I'm talking around 2k) but it does go down when I shift into gear most of the time. But then at the traffic lights might sit again at about 1.5k

    4) This only happened just last night. Maybe a temp sensor fault which might be causing the above? Anyway, the temp all the sudden read 230 degrees on the ECUTalk (ECU Consult LED Display thing a lot of us bought ages a go) I knew it wasn't correct, it went back down to normal but was kinda 65, then 230 then 80 then went back to normal then back to 230 then calmed down all together went back to normal and didn't play up again.

So yeah need a knowledgeable person to help me out lol :p

My guess would be a "loose connection/Dry joint" or similar, in the circuitry. The fact that it went back to functioning correctly would tend to support this(as a faulty/non-functioning component would be more likely to cease working all-together).

1 & 3 seem like IACV related, I had the exact problem for #3 and replacing the AAC unit fixed it.

    2. Steering is probably the unit on the steering rack itself which regulates force depending on speed. Easiest way to fix it is to unplug it and it'll stay on hardest force all the time. Had this problem, unplugging it is a permanent fix and I don't mind the heavy steering.

    4. Faulty water temp sensor, easy to replace, it's just on the top water hard pipe coming out of the engine.

All of the above can be found in tech section.
