AS some of you are aware, ive been doing my own personal little campaign to try and bring zeds in some small amount back into enthusiasts minds and the publics eyes. A rather hard task, more then I initially thought possible. but after the last 2 years, with car show season. a show in Goulburn that a few of you made an effort to come down for, the recent drag events and a few others. I actually have some people who seem to talk about Z's in reference to skylines and things again on a small scale.. any improvement is a improvement. Anyway. The most recent media attack to bring ZEDS back from the dead.. is here LINKY to full article http://speednation.com.au/zeds-dead-baby-zeds-dead/ :zlove::zlove::zlove:
Great work Procky.. Beautiful car you have their... I know the Zed can get a bad rap, but my experiences with the Zed have always been positive. When ever its on display at Show n shines or even at club cruises, its always praised. It has its bad points like every other car, and I'm the first to point these out (tight engine bay, difficult to work on blah blah blah). But you just accept it and move on. Its the foibles that give the car its own special touch of character or "humanity", if that makes sense. Even though the Zed is old, its probably one of the most interesting and exciting cars I will ever drive.
Nice Ride! the interest has always been there from the public. I always get double takes when I drive anywhere. I think the main thing is getting owners to want to spend the money to get them to the state yours is in. there's just too many neglected Z's that give the 300 a bad name. but when you finish it off like this one, the rewards must be endless.
Gradual Comeback?? They never went away and still remain the best styled car of all time Maybe I am biased :zlove:
Mate honestly I wouldn't care if the whole planet thought they were total junk except for those who own them right now. With popularity comes crime, in NZ we have asstards car jacking Skylines etc - NOT the sort of attention we need with Z32s, I'd rather have them as an unloved semi supercar - at least they are safe in comparison.
Top write up Andrew. Your girl look spectacular. Long road but the hard work (and dollars) have paid off. National respect earned. Well done !
Looks amazing mate. In my opinion yours and Carl's, are one of the nicest ones with alot of work done and not deviating from the 300zx style
I always get a little bit excited when I see a clean one getting around. So few and far between these days Few shitboxes are around, but very few properly clean ones
yep, i am happy everytime one gets wrecked and written off because its one less on thd road, making mine rarer and hopefully more valuable. I hope they dont get more popular or mainstream though, then the stickerbomb brigade, drifters and stance nation blokes will tar us all with the same brush.
Procky you do realize i am coming down south, just too steal your rims and interior so i can put them onto and into " Vertie "
I'll just have to keep on the move and stay one step ahead of you haha But thanks And your right guys . Being rare is a good thing. I guess it's more a little respect or to correct miss information I'm trying for .. In saying that embarrassing moment in shot when car over fueled while idling then wouldn't start for a bit lol
Congrats Procky on the great writeup You need to do one on a Sunny Day, Last time was at night if memory serves me correct & this time it looks like it was raining Car looks Awesome as always Greg OldRedZed
