in the 3rd pic on the ebay link you can see where the bar lips over. so its a stillen lip, or possibly a copy of the stillen lip.
All stillen lips are Urethane. Ztoy made the only copy that I'm aware of, and it was to suit a TT bar, which Lolwut now has the moulds for. Question I am asking is what makes a 25th anniversary bar anything different from a stock NA bar with a Stillen lip fitted?
nothing. thats all the 25th anniversary was, a stock na with some stillen bits and a few other little extras.
The unique varible rate suspension were only avaliable on USDM SMZ's ADM only got the body kit and wheels. I'm the only Z in aus with the OEM adjustable suspension kit fully installed.
Well that's the original Aussie brochure, searched for ages for one & then had to fight off a swag of other bidders on eBay to win it (determined buggers... ) So the Aussie 25th Anniversary models had the variable suspension or Nissan did a bit of false advertising. Must say my blue one does handle nicely Also, a Nissan ad for the 25th Anniversary model in a Penthouse mag I've got stored away somewhere I'm sure also claimed the model got an altered tune but must admit I was a bit distracted while reading that advertisement!
Well as far as I know the ADM models didn't get any performance enhancing parts from Stillen at all and so its possible the brochure was slightly misleading. The adjustable suspension was not a SMZ special feature either most if not all USDM TT's had this feature included from the factory. here is an article on the USDM SMZ's Stillen SMZ 300zx I have the original USDM SMZ brochure in digital format if any is interested Also here a few photos of the SMZ owners manual And of course theres are how to change your tires instructions provided. The one thing I have never been able to find out for sure, is if the SMZ's had the larger diameter sway bars with Stillen end links fitted from Stillen. No one seems to know the answer.
Thanks for showing off some of that Z porn you have there Adam! So I'll be sure to take some pics of my blue Z's suspension next time I've got a wheel off to put this to bed
