You will find no free lunch in rear TT bearings, manufacture is very limited and specific to Z32.

If anyone checks it out please post a price.

I bought a rear bearing for NA (no tab)
At the mechanic I was asked which month NA in 1990 because they reckon that mid 1990 the NA & TT rear bearing, brakes and axle spec consolidated to TT spec. I suggested that the consolidation of spec was the front end, but they refused to work on the car until I could source a rear bearing for TT spec.
I only had an early 1990 NA spec bearing (no tab) so went to a different mechanic.
Got the car sorted, didn't need the bearing just clean and tighten with correct torque.
The mechanic couldn't remember if my NA needed the bearing with tab or not.
I believe the difference is that the early NA used the same setup as the Z31. Smaller diameter axle and bearing than the TT.

The bearings I got were for the rear of my Xtrail. I just posted up the link because during my search I found this list which had rear TT bearings listed and I was sure others had posted in the past that they weren't able to get them. Rear for the Xtrail retailed for $114 but I got them mates rates for $84 :D. They are a big arse double roller. Prick of a job to do but got it done in the end.
    Cheers

They are available from CZP for $515US + freight for a pair of rear TT wheel bearings.

Commonly wheel bearings can be got from bearing suppliers substantially cheaper then OEM for the same thing but not the TT rears.

When it is listed it is usually no longer available from non OEM suppliers when the question is asked.

But that should not stop you from asking, one day we might get a shock. :D

Would it be possible to machine the rear hub to accept a more common bearing? That sort of money is pretty steep

Are there any experts out there who know why these can't be repacked?

That bearing looks a hell of a lot like the one I just put in the Xtrail. I will try and get a number or measurement of the old one and if any one could get a T/T one to compare. It is like a double bearing in the one outer ?. I doubt Nissan would have had a complete new bearing made when they could just make the housing fit one that is already on the market.

    Guys..

The cost of the tt rear wheel barings is one of the reasons I went with a na rear, other benefits are 4.1:1 ratio instead of 3.7:1 and allows complete removal on the hydraulic hicas. I searched for aged for reasonable price tt barings sent many an email oem has the market cornered

Spoke to one of our bearing suppliers and the tech info they're producing in regards to the bearings themselves, are that the bearing is the same but the seal is a different diameter, etc.

Ive asked him to look into it a bit further and he is going to do the leg work for me to try and find a replacement bearing set for us.

Roughly though the replacement fronts are around the $100 mark each. Going by the last time some were sold. Not to say its correct, but its a start point.

He quoted these OEM numbers to me for the bearings and seals though.

    Front 40210-33P07 (CR1-0849C5133 aftermarket)

    RHR 43280-30P05
    LHR 43281-30P05

    NA seals 43252-30P00
    TT seals 43252-40P00

If anyone with fast can check that, that would be handy. As i havent FAST on this pc.

I just dealt with this a few weeks ago, the axle/hub splines were rusted so lots of penetrating oil and big arse bearing puller did the trick, but it took a big heave on a breaker bar to get it to finally move. Im pretty sure its what has done in my wheel bearing too; rusty water entering the bearing through the shaft splines.
