A jig was made up for these. Yep, most of the stuff Ive seen around is crap and "Massaged" into place, with welds sticking up all over the place. Z1's item was a good place to start as they're tried and tested and quality, although i have my doubts about where they are manufactured as most of those stainless bends can only be bought from china, and the welds are barely stitched. The only reason i ended up getting these made was due to a very talented friend being out of work and down on luck and i kinda stumbled across a set to make the jig. I did feel like i should move to Canada and sit in the corner with AMS but in the end i helped out a mate, bought all parts locally and kept my money in Aus. Plus z1's cost way too much for what they are. Sorry for wandering off topic (like usual as of late...)
Thank **** someone thinks like this! only if the rest of Australia could. Well done. maybe you should produce them and flog them?
Got a reply from Kevin @ Prime Speed, $995 US + freight for dumps and front pipes combined. Not bloody cheap, I replied asking if I can get the dumps alone.
Awesome! Reason why I buy from overseas UAS now want $1100 for their new bellmouths alone without front pipes .
your test pipes wont bolt up so you would have to redirect/reshape your test pipes and reweld a V band anyway ..more labour . easier to sell your dumps and test pipes. .
you decide for yourself http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=308497&highlight=bellmouth I would use properly setup (matchported) splits . .
These Prime Speed ones do look good and I have emailed them about selling them. Which I will if we know they will right hand drive cars, without too many modifications.
