We are looking to revisit this due to some local interest but more so customers from America requesting V1 braces recently.

The new design will be slightly bowed to clear all radiators, TT or NA twin pass or 56mm oversize.

If anyone is still interested speak up. Much much more effective than any front strut brace.

I would be interested if there was a tangible prototype to look at.

I'm in for one, possibly two if they're cheap enough to justify one for the track hack as well.

Would this brace be much of an improvement over the other one you were selling that only connects to the tension rod bolts? It's a white one I bought from UAS.

Probably wouldn't want one for a drifter, don't you want the front softer and the rear stiffer?

Suspension maybe (I don't know) but a flobbery chassis is absolutely not the answer to that.

I've heard of them removing the front sway bar and getting a stiffer/bigger rear sway bar so the front digs in more while the back let's off.

I really don't know, you know I only wog skid ;)

John can you reupload the pic of what we talking about here as i cant seem to see the pic from the original post

My question is, will this work with bigger twin pass radiators that are bigger than 56mm?

    Yes.

You shouldn't be going bigger than 56mm though as you won't be leaving much room for your fan assembly...

Suspension wise you'd probably want the front a bit softer than the rear. Lots of people don't run swaybars in the rear but I will run a small one since it's going to be registered. Either way all this brace should do is stop anything from flexing under extra stress. It's just another brace like a strut brace.

See I thought they don't run them in the front? Why would you want the rear to have more give?

suspension is a black art for a reason

Even the very best racing teams have totally different setups between there nearest competitors.

Some like it to fling easy in the rear with it soft, others like it to slide easily in the rear with it hard. Sure hard suspension in the rear will slide more directly and have less grip but its harder on the chassis and your butt.

Suspension has always been a personal thing in any racing form even drift and quarter mile to a large extent based on drivers personal preference of style, hence why suspension racing engineers/ crews get the shits with there drivers all the time - lol (they think personally it should be a certain way for optimum driving but the driver then complains and tells them to change it as its undrivable):eek:

Thanks Dean for the link :)

John so is the new version been made up yet or is it still an idea? I'm keen on one as long as it doesnt foul on anything & doesnt need any modifications to fit.

Rob thanks for that...ill keep that in mind...ive got a brand new fan & clutch that ill be fitting to my new radiator, so anything over 56mm it wont fit?

The only modification mine needed to fit was to drill the holes out a little bit bigger, no biggie.

Told you anything more than 56mm is pointless, I've dropped the price on the twin pass, you should grab it before someone else does ;)

Because they're running stiff enough coilovers on the rear to not need a swaybar.

Pretty ghetto to be running hard coils and no swaybar imo
