    Its a Contour HD, wasnt very expensive either. Had it for about 3 years.

    If i was buying again I would buy the full house one. IMO the Go Pro just isnt the right shape for any of this sort of stuff.

    What gearbox is the Slot Car running, the wine noise from your gearbox is the same noise my new 98+ spec box is making.

    Hi Eddie,
    Do you have both shifter boots secured properly? My gearbox was whining in 2nd and 4th due to the boot lifting. Slot car looks and sounds the business, that dogbox must make driving a lot easier.

    Eddie the slotcar has a PPG gear set (dog box) , if your gearbox is making that noise it's not a good thing at all!!

    Lol, and you know the hilarious thing?!

    Wait for it...

    The slot car was not running full power and we just remembered that we didn't re-aim/position the front splitter properly before he went out!

    Ya was all secured, noise defiantly from inside the box, have the box out and being stripped to check the cause should know by mid week what the issue is.

    0.839 in 5th gear.
    gives 258km at 7500rpm (629mm tyre dia.)

    runs out of puff at eastern creek too.

    which is why I'm going helical dog and keeping the 0.752 5th gear (with 646mm dia.)

    gives a massive jump to 294km at 7500rpm

    Even other johns skyline (you know the one black beast) was topping out pretty quick down the straight ...

    I noticed that whining and whirring from the gearbox too that others picked up, sounds like its partially from the thrust bearing and possibly a gearbox bearing as well - the thrust bearing might explain that odd difficulty in changing those gears early.

    Really a very nice sound in that motor though - very clean in sound and is obviously running very well!
