do i need anything to slap an auto box onto an engine that had a manual on it ? i know the flex plate are different but anything else or just bolt straight up ? (in b4 manuals are better dont do it)
It goes IN the end of the crank. Dust plates that go between the engine and the flex plate are different to the manual ones - you will learn this the hard way if you try to use the manual ones as you wont be able to fit the torque converter bolts LOL! Other than that the actual motor to box connection is easy, if you're fitting a manual engine to an auto chassis then it's a walk in the park. If you are fitting an auto box to a manual chassis please give us a heads up so we can order the refreshments and sit back and watch.
On the plus side this will make things easy for Chad On the downside we will have nothing to chuckle about while he battles with the evil that is overly complicated wiring and boxes of trickery  (no offence intended towards Chad)
