yes I know the turbos very well.. 270/10.25 is the biggest tomei. but you have totally lost me now with 98 fuel and 18psi for that figure. I'll just leave it at dynos read differently . be good to see the power curve though .
http://www.dynapack.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14&Itemid=5 http://www.dynapack.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=64 "Times change and technology evolves. What was once ?industry standard? is now yesterday?s technology. The Dynapack is truly the most technologically advanced chassis dynamometer in the world - at any price." Might pay to have a good long hard read of that website before you start talking about our readings being high - it's more likely your old rolling tub reads low
Except the MPH calculations are based on old school rolling road readings and the condition of the strip and the tyres will throw the numbers waaaay off. It is simply retarded to suggest running a car down the qtr mile gives a more accurate HP reading than the best dynos on the planet, that's like saying you can tell a girls weight better than the scales can if you measure her waist. Go pick a stock standard off the shelf brand new car and run it on your old washing machine and I'll do the same here on the hub dyno, if the results are the same or the hub dyno is closer to factory specs you guys can forever shut the hell up and admit we've not been talking shit. In fact take up this challenge or you can shut up in any case, bloody cry babies
Yeah i'd say if that car was run here you could drop about 100rwkw off that figure. Rob's car did 467rwkw on 24psi and GT2871R's.........the car you posted is supposedly pushing almost as much with smaller turbos and a lot less boost. Big difference between dyno readings between AUS and NZ.......the reason most of us will call BS is due to this site being an australian based website....hence the name.
So based on your numbers, how small can we make the pipes after the turbo before they become restrictive ? (to decrease lag)
Take it elsewhere please I don't Fking care what your stupid washing machine tub dynos read they are crap end of story. I suppose you are going to say all our top dragsters have high dyno readings as well. RIPS = RB world record, Heat treatments = 4WD word record. Unless you personally are prepared to take a brand new off the shelf car and run it on one of your "perfect" dynos and post the results in a thread so we can compare shut the hell up and move on. Go run Robs car on a Dynapack and post the results Garret says the GT2860RS is good for up to 360HP, that's 720HP total, why is it they can't do that in a Z32?? oh that's right because internet.
Agreed, think most people get insulted when they hear a higher hp figure of their car (or in robs case spend a lot less money and is getting close) Most of from what I've read the guys over at VW forums are having around 6 - 7kw increase on a hub dyno compared to a rolling and that is only due to tyre pressure, suspension movement etc, how it is tied down etc, all which is removed with the hub. http://www.vwgolf.net.au/showthread.php?9501-Hub-Dyno-vs-Rolling-Road-vs-At-the-crank Them guys are doing back to back comparisons, within 2 hours of each other on a hub then a rolling, more than most of (or anyone) has done here that I've read?
Shut your mouth and move on FFS! Your post is useless Why? because we are not even close to 720HP at the crank yet so there is still headroom staying within the factory specs for those turbos. I don't care if you are trying to help or hinder, you are not welcome due to your actions in the past.
:rofl::rofl: So many uptight people here. Side note....I have over 1000hp at the crank. . . . . . . . Cumulative, between my 2 cars and bike.
You must be really angry waaaaa How old are you? You sound really young... like the P platers over on the VL Turbo forums, having a teary about dose pipes and waste gates.... Calm down man. No one said your dyno's over in blessed NZ are shyte. No one said they are innacurate. All that was said, was that the dyno's here in Australia read much lower. Maybe your magical dyno's are actually correct, ad ours just read low? Who gives a ****. Pull a time and shut everyone up. Or pull your weener and go to sleep.
I'm not angry at all, I'm just trying to keep the thread on topic I asked nicely about three or four times. Maybe easier just to ask for the thread to be locked and you guys can go figure shit out for yourselves.
2005 Aprilia RSV 1000 - 141hp Audi S5 - 380hp Mah Zed - approx 530hp (310rwkw and 30% drivetrain loss) *rolling road dyno testing in Australia before anyone cares to interject*
