Quick clutch bleeding question

    Quick one guys.

    Bled my clutch tonight, seemed to go well although I can only get about 100mm of actual feel from my pedal.

    So let me get this right, you top up the reservoir full of clutch fluid.
    Pump the pedal then get someone to crack the nipple on the slave (under the car) with the pedal depressed. You do this 5-6 times.
    Then pump again and crack the nipple on the master (engine bay on the reservoir) with the peddle depressed. Again 5-6 times.

    I did this a few times and as I said I only get a little bit of clutch feel..
    Am I missing something ? Or do I just keep following this process til it works ?

    Is it a TT?
    They also have a bleed point infront of the drivers strut tower, not sure is the NA's do or not but the TT does for sure. you will need to bleed from there also.
    they can be a pain sometimes.

    It's an NA converted to TT so I'm guessing no.
    The only bleeder I have infront of the drivers strut tower seems to be for the power steering res. the gold coloured 8-10mm thick pipe.

    is it a big rectangle thing? near the p/s res with a pipe that runs down towards the rear?
    Thats it, its a clutch bleed point.

    I'm a fool, for future reference, NAs have 3 bleed points;
    Slave
    Master
    Drivers side strut tower

    Always thought the last one was a power steering bleed lol.

    Not all masters have bleed points IIRC.

    I think I only have one on my car since I ran a line straight from master to slave and ditched the other bleed point. Worth it just for the time it saved on bleeding them IMHO.

    Don't worry,
    Your not the only one :p
    I spent two days trying to bleed my clutch.
    I thought it was a power steering bleed point too.
    Boy did I feel silly :eek:

    I am in the same situation. But mine is TT, so do i have to bleed on three points??

    I know first to bleed near tranny on slave cylinder and then near the HICAS.
    But can somebody show me where is third point near the master clutch cylinder???

    Also in the service manual its says bleed from these two points.
    There is nowhere mention about the bleed near master cylinder.

    Slave cylinder,
    Resevoir,
    And inbetween the strut tower and headlight.
    The clutch resevoir is right next to the brake master cylinder.

    Thanks mate,
    Is there a bleed nipple next to clutch master cylinder?? Or you mean vaccum the fluid out of resevoir???
    I know the other two bleed point.

    Not sure about TT
    On my na the bleed nipple is right in front of the clutch fluid resevoir on the master cylinder.

    Not all Z32's have a bleed nipple on the Clutch M/Cyl.:zlove:

    If there is a nipple next to clutch master cylinder.
    What sequence the bleeding needs to be done??
    Slave - master - then near hicas????
    Or some other way.

    I generally bleed:

    Slave
    Master
    Point near HICAS solenoid

    Run through all three a few times. You'll get a feel for which has the most air in and concentrate on that one.

    Before bleedng the system jack the front of the car as high as you can, this helps you a lot to get or of the air out of the system ! Usely takes a few bleeds to remove all the air.TT's clutch system are a problem to bleed.
