Ok, have a question on car mods. I want to not use the indicators or the fog lights on the front of the Z, i'd prefer after market projector fog/driving lights and a set of LED DRL/ Indicators which will be installed somewhere on the bar. question. can i legally remove and not use the factory indicators which would have better side visibility for other drivers can i install LED Indicators lower to the ground on the bar than stock can i install driving lights in the place where the original indicators would have been? WaynoZ
As long as you can see you indicators front on and side on you would be fine. Driving lights , in nsw, we can only use as fitted +2, there are min and max heights from the road, when dipped ( low beam ) not on. ross
get orange angel eye indicators that would be kind of cool maybe or just fit a LED strip in the headlight
from the side would be an issue, unless the gaurd indicators are sufficient enough? might have to hide some smaller ones on the side of the bar if thats allowable? i think i know what you are talking about.. o.0 pics??
A lot off new cars use the back off the mirror for there side indicators, the stock gaurd indicators are fine. ross
you are seeking a legal solution to what you want to mod with your lights. you would be foolish to to do anything without first checking/clearing what you want to do with the appropriate Victoria Authority/RTA etc.,
Waynoz you can do what i have currently... I have side mirrors which has LED indicators on the outside casing as well as on the actual mirror aswell Quite nice at night... Could be a good option for you to look at. My mirrors can be programmed for amber indicators (legal) or blue. Abraham
If I remember correctly - front indicators have to be visible from in front of the vehicle at an angle of up to 45 degrees to both left and right for each indicator

(On the vehicle, it is horizontal, parallel to the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle and oriented in the required direction of visibility.) It passes through the centre of reference. The values shown in the tables give, for the various directions of measurement, the minimum intensities as a percentage of the minimum intensities required in the table in paragraph 6.1.: 2.1.1. in the direction H = 0 degrees and V = 0 degrees for categories 1, 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3 and in the case of category 4 to the front only; 2.1.2. in the direction H = 5 degrees and V = 0 degrees for category 6. 2.2.
