Hey guys i just installed a new shift knob, handbrake handle and boots for the knob and handle, and what a pain in the ass job that was, so many screws and holes to align for the boots hopefully wont have to do this again for another 20 years.... plus it didnt help doing it this late at night after work...

Anyway now my handbrake feels a little stiffer then it used to when you pull it up, is it possible I've caught the cable somewhere thus making it stiff, any ideas where i may have jammed it a bit so i know where too look when i pull it apart again tomorrow to check??

    Cheers :D

Possibly could be the leather wearing in if its brand new...otherwise you didn't touch the 10mm adjustment bolt behind the handbrake?

Nah i didnt touch any bolts! I thought that may be the case but it doesn't really feel like the leather is holding it back if you know what i mean... The only things i unscrewed were the screws for all the trim and that around it to get the bloody boot off

Chris pull it apart and just have a look and double check to just be on the safe side. I know its a PITA job as i recently pulled apart my centre console and other bits surrounding it and installed my new gear shifter and knob and just cleaned up some of the 20yr old dirt under it all.
