Well had a scare today! Checking over the turbos etc and found the drivers side turbo actuator arm was touching on the oil filter tree! Luckily, it still operates just fine. Checked it with a bit of compressed air after some advice from JDM Automotive Subframe and all accessories relating have been painted up in "subframe black" Removed handbrake lines from my subframe and fitted to NA frame Cleaned up, painted and re-fitted sump Coilovers got here today! Damn that was fast! Selin kit arrived today also - Nice bit of kit this one. Apexi filters awaiting fitting Still waiting on subframe locking rings grrrrr! Gettin there tho! Looks as though with a little luck, everything may just be back in after this weekend.
Phew! What a time consuming process the subframe was! Subframe Re-assembled (I highly recommend not pulling it down) New Diff oil Subframe collars arrived today! Woohoo! Fitted and ready to go. Fitted rear coilovers (As it turns out, the Cusco's are for a R32 so some modding required! Lucky Warren300 came over today to sell me a grinder!) Fitted rear camber arms (and dialed in some sneaky camber ) As it turns out, I have no pilot locator bush so the torque converter was vibrating away. Can't possibly go on without this installed so either I order another one from Coz or by some freak chance, someone has one in good nick in WA. If I have to order from the US, it's gonna be a major setback... Anyways, engine is ready to go! Shift kit to be installed this weekend as well as hi-stall... Engine would be back in... Damn u locator bushing!!! More pics to follow this weekend.
All good Brocky! Ezzupturbo (aka Magic man) has managed to get one out of one of his spare engines intact! What a champ! Full steam ahead!
Cheers Evz, I was thinking the same thing when I was re-assembling... Crossed my mind to start painting the whole underside... then I slapped myself in the face...
Shift kit now installed! Woohoo! Hi-stall in and ready to go... UDP, PS pump and Alt on Front coilovers on Gettin there!
