well as the heading say's, here we go again. Just bought Jamies TT slicktop body. Gonna stick it in the shed and do it up over a couple of years I will be stripping the body right back to bare shell for paint and, rebuilding from there. I know I told everyone that I had had enough and wasn't doing it anymore but I have regretted selling ever since I did The starting platform is a TT slicktop manual body, in very straight condition with most things already stripped. I intend to start from scratch with everything even the motor when I finally get one :zlove: I think I have gone totally mad so I think the new name for the project will be "Bonkers"
LOL. Good decision mate. Let me know if you need help, an ok set of hands here. Plus I'm in a 4x4 so I can tow.
Street Going for the street car. Want to make it reliable with a bit of go I am planning to rebuild as much as I can, but as with everything, where do you stop
There is a US guy who has video clips on how to make one,he demonstrates for a zed 32 and i have down loaded free internet plans. There is a outfit in Bris selling 800 kg rated for $610 or 710.With hydraulic rams, castor wheels.Im thinking to just buy one and reinforce it. Freight can be a killer.
Great news! Knew you wouldn't be gone for long - I learnt my lesson several years back, sold a damn nice Z & then a bunch of brand new Z items which simply aren't available any more... The trick is - spend just so much money on this project that even your missus won't let you ever sell it! Good luck champ.
Yeah Not going to let myself spend too much, well not yet anyway Really want to just take my time with this :zlove:
Hey But you just did! lol Oh well as the thread topic says "here we go again" I cant do anything for about 6 weeks anyway, not allowed to lift anything over 4 kg so it's gonna be a slow project
well, if its what you really want to do, do it.........BUT.............please dont let it become another unfinished project zed that will never see the light of day again, there are already far too many of thoose in WA/around australia......... to give you a head start on some of the less exciting but lengthy bits, im going to put my hand up and say ill help you with the sanding and panel work that goes into paint prep, i know you bitterly hated this job last time so maybe a extra pair of hands will take the edge off........
