DVD mods

    I know we have 2 din slot but can the bar be cut out to have the screen flush or at Least almost flush? Anyone who has done this mod??

    Sorry mate. I'm hopeless with all this stuff. How much do you think places like Jb Hifi charge or am I better of finding someone else??

    My stereo surround has been hacked up a bit already, perfect for what you want, if your gonna do it to yours and its in good condition, would you consider a straight swap?

    Im getting a pioneer or jvc 7inch DVD player but want it to sit flush with the surrounding or at least close to it. But obviously the middle bar needs to be cut out. I don't no really sounds like a bad idea with plenty of work

    look up vaders car pc build ... I think it was vader anyway.

    Another option is do whats been done in my zed, i'll take pictures and post em tonight for you

    Mike. Does the 2din metal suround have to be part of the facia? or can it be part of the dash?
    Would this not put a downward force on the stereo facia?
    I am planning this at a later date and have seen this method before, but have not pulled my facia off to see if there is any support behind.

    There isn't a whole heap of support behind unfortuntly :(
    I've taken it off more times than i can remember, and it's gotta come off again soon!

    Here's a pic of my installation. It's no big deal as long as you take your time with measuring and preparation(I sliced the center bar with a Dremel disc).:)

    yeah the owner did a great job on that...havent seen it in real life...ill have to contact him to find out exactly how he did it

    Nice work Loyd! Not having done thes yet myself but planning to soon, I think you are right in that it is all in the care and planning.

    Nice work, very clean and will have a very OEM finish. I'd love to see how he has done this.
