Great turn out! Great bunch of people (as always!)... :zlove: Would like to thank all of you's who showed up and made this day another success in the storybook of zeds! Special mention to mikemd for being such a graceful host and managed to feed everyone (except that the bread supply was short!!! ^#%$&^#$)! At least butter was overflowing! Hope to see you guys again soon... won't be able to make it on the cruise but I'll find a way. Maybe organising the next techday sooner than everybody thinks... especially that the big box from abroad has already arrived! More jobs to accomplish, more fiddlings to be done, more grease on our hands... Have a good one, fellas! Arvin :zlove:
Thanks Arvin for all the little things help-wise that make such a day a great success! To all who attended I hope you had a good day... so many young people in attendance who I didn't know but all got in and helped wherever help was needed. Marcus fitted a complete new front bar and had a driver's door lift... both looked great. Arvin brought his magic spring and shock assembly unit which worked well once figured out. Lots of other jobs attempted and completed and also quite a few items changed hands as part of the Sell&Swap idea. Think this could evolve into a succesful offshoot for a fun get-together. I finished with a 'new' TT radiator (thanks Graham!) and a complete front bar (Marcus's old one). If only my paint work (job in progress!!) looked as good as the old-new front bar, I'd be very happy!! You young guys surprised me... a great bunch of people who were polite, industrious, and great fun! Thank you all for your attendance and hope to see you all again soon. Great to see Geoff (Oni), Chili (and Lynn), Bill (unfortunately without the wonderful Caz, who we greatly missed) and so many other old faces not able to attend. In all, I think we had around 25 Zeds, a great blue 260Z, Oni's magic Blue Oval, Graham with a Falcon ute filled with bits and pieces for sale, and assorted other vehicles... including a drive-through by a spotless patrol car with three large officers aboard - no dramas!! The day went great, weather was good altho' a bit warm mid-afternoon. Thanks again to all who attended... everybody cleaned up well and only a couple of empty stray cans needed collecting at the end of the day. Well done, all, my sons will appreciate the way you left everything so tidy.
Well done Mike! It was great to meet several new Z32 owners(and Z31 & 260Z guys as well). Some old faces and quite a lot of newbies(who hopefully will be "oldies" before too long)made a good mix for a successful Tech Day. Mike, I don't know why, but every time you hold one of these days(no matter what the weather is doing beforehand)it turns out bloody hot. Wandering about, mumbling "the Debil made me do it" is just not a good enough explanation. Hope to see all you folk again before too long. Drive safely, till next time, Lloyd & Lynn:zlove::zlove::br: P.S. I did not appreciate Marcus clinging to my exhaust system as I tried to leave the Parking Area.
Thanks for the great techday Mike... Hope to see all you retired old folk on the Kiama cruise that Mikey has organised. Hopefully next tech day will be soon after the cruise again. Cheers Matt
Good day guys, thanks Mike for hosting See you all on the Kiama cruise on the 20th of Feb that im organising -Mikey Btw Mikemd I'll bring my ice box next time too
Was a great day, though I didn't have my zed with me yet, met alot of nice ppl, saw some hot cars & leant some things. A pretty good day. Can't wait for the next one. Will try to have my zed ready for that Thanks mike & everyone else! See ya'll soon (hopefully)
Thanks Mike for another tech day, ( didn't make it but ) without these get togethers, fellow fourm member mighten meet and work together, eat and be merry, i wish CAZ would come along and hopefully joins the next cruise south. ross
us Z31 and 260 owners also have Z32's but both were at home in peices! it was good to meet new faces as well as old! Was an enthousiastic bunch who i hoped learnt a lot from today and will continue to improove their Zeds! My 32 TT slick top coupe will be at the Nationals hopefully with all my planed mods completed
Just some snaps off the old camera. It was great to meet the attendees, looking forward to doing it again soon. Me, re-soldering the DET sensor back together in DJhzex's car. Photobombed by Mikey5555 Marcus (A-Briz-Z straightening out the sill on his Z, in preparation for guard removal and door hinge realignment. Chili arrives amongst great fanfare, including lewd propositions for his sweet-sounding exhaust Zeder1984 (Luke) and his mad 260 coupe. Bringin' it back old skool style A swap of struts and springs were on the cards, but didn't eventuate. Arvin's spring press. Awesome bit of gear. MikeMD in shot. Used to swap king springs into atilla's Z. Marcus, doing the passenger side door hinges and guard removal. Joe (Larlok) and Anti getting the bar and guards off to align the door hinges. Anti's Nose panel apparently has an upside-down Z logo badge... I didn't know it had a 'right side up' ?!?! Zeder1984 Luke, wrenching on some stubborn suspension bolts, replacing atilla's shocks / king springs, and fitting new camber arms. My bad if I've labelled shots wrong. There was so many new faces, and I had my head in a Z for most of the day doing stuff, so may not have even met everybody.
Great day guys, thank to everyone involved. Special mention to mikemd who is generous enough to again host the day. The Sydney Z scene would be a lot quieter without his efforts, thanks mate (oh and enjoy the new / old bar ). I'd also like to say a personal thank you to the boys from Newcastle, Mitch and Joe for all there help today. Got started early on the front bar and these lads had it off before I could say "where's that screw from!!" Thanks also to Ignite (Ingite) for providing that extra pair of hands and suggestions when I was struggling. I was extremely happy with what I managed to get done to the car today......new front bar, panel beat front quarter panel and lifted drives door. Car is looking great. Chili, that wasn't me on your exhaust.......I was the one dragging along under your front bar.
