Hey guys, by mate adjusted his front camber in about 1 minute, with his "camber Top Plate"... told me i should be able to source some for my Super Streets... is this true? From where? I was under the impression we needed camber arms or some shit?

He has Mcpherson struts suspension in his car Eli. We have wishbones.

You cant change camber in a wish boned suspension car by changing the top mounting position like you can on a Commodore.

What are people's thought's on having a 2mm steel plate to space out the top camber arms? Wouldn't this be safer than your common ebay midori style arm?

Zedboy, each to their own. If you're attempting to achieve a particular ride height and stay with it. Solid 2mm plates are the way to go and give you less po po attraction. As you cant see them.

The adjustable items, albeit ebay cheapies, are there for the option to adjust the components should they need to, time and time again. Eg, change in rims, tires, ride height, etc.

Go with what you feel is the safer option.

Once they're on it doesn't really matter which you have. Personally I found the adjustments of the arms more useful. But, if you don't plan on tinkering with suspension settings the arm offset plates may be more suited to your needs.

As for safety, you wouldn't have issues with either as long as they're installed correctly.

Camber tops are for cars with macpherson struts like silvias. We have multilink and you must change the length of the upper arm in order to change camber.

The plates only help reducing camber, if your doing track work you may want to increase camber. Plus stuffing round with different plates until you find the ones that give the right amount of camber could get tiresome

    Here you go: LINKY-POO!

$199 for the pair of front upper control arms should sort you out. Wouldn't hurt to get the front castor rods at the same time, but not as important as the camber control.

I've got a used set of adjustable upper A-arms for camber adjustment if you're interested.
