Hi all Here are a few pics of todays events at Wakefield. Cold but great day The Wiz's car looked ace and ran well. One very fast lap. He was goin' really fast like Ricky Bobby Using the Wiz mobile to warm lunch though not as good as Stevens pies in the exhaust An attempt at HDR, hard to remove the watermark until I buy a Photomatric licence. The old fella even moves too fast when standing still. The Ports mobile was awesome too. Thanks for the ride Wayne. And a token taxi shot with the new lighter version driver. Down 40kg since Feb, yipee! Cheers
Yeah baby Awesome day at Wakie, how good was the weather for mid july. Minus one when we arrived but soon warmed up. Day didn't start to well after losing the bolt on the shifter linkage and having to be towed back to the pits in the first session, was like stirring a big bowl of porridge. Quick trip to super cheap in Goulburn to buy some nuts and bolts and we were back in business missing only one session ( thanks Geoff) Happy to have run a PB with a 1.10.39 late in the day, only a small track but difficult to find the quick way around it. Put the passenger seat back in for the last session to give Geffo a ride around only managed a 1.13 then due to a missfire, hhhmmm more work to do. Pic of ports and i with a very quick GTR sandwich.
haha Brilliant day, great weather, all round good being out there and catching up with you both, ill upload a few other pictures tomorrow .
Looks like it was a great day guys, how does that lap timer work Ron any details on that? Also didn't recognise you in that last photo Geoff looks like you have really slimmed down, good work. Love this photo, make it my desktop wallpaper now.
Top day at Wakefield! Finally managed to get out and do some decent laps without having to mend anything. Managed a PB with an 1.11:70 and took Oni out for a session which was a real hoot. Wizard was on a mission to do some hot laps and hit a low 70 sec, well done mate. Plenty of nice nissans on the track and lots of newbies which is excellent to see.
AIM lap timer Mychron TG lap timer, been using for quite a while now, very accurate. http://www.aimsports.com/products/tg/index.html
Awesome Dude Didn't know you were into the 11's, too caught up in what i was doing. also had some fun with Oni in the passenger seat when we had one of those "what about the brakes Russ" moments. Yes plenty of nice cars there, and some quick ones.
Lots of pics In this thread from the Skyline forum. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sau-Wakefield-Wrap-Threa-t329268.html
Hi Baz, I cheated and had fat boy surgery. Gastric sleeving to reduce stomach volume from 2L to 100mL Has worked a treat up to now but I'll have to work hard to loose any more. I'd like to drop another 5-10kg. Cheers Geoffo
geoff ... the new look is simply brilliant ... trim, taught and terrific ..... congrats on your success ... stick with it ...
Thanks bud and have to stick with it as its irreversible Saving heaps on food and putting it to good use such as new telescope and trip to Japan next month.
Bonus, Don't have to hide the pies anymore and dosen't knock your lap times around by being in the passenger seat. New nick of half a man.
Hmmm.... now WHERE is that photo of Miss Hestia...??? You're the man, (B..) Lite Geoff!! Your Mum must be thrilled to be able to spend less time in the kitchen!!?? Lookin' good, well done!
Well done Geffro It's amazing what some people will do to get their cars to keep up with our 300's :rofl::rofl: On a serious note mate, I'm very impressed with your decision to reduce size and the results acheived so far. Cheers mate Kerry :zlove:
Some very nice results there, both on and off the track. Wiz and Ports are going to be very hard to beat at the nationals next year with all this track experience.
All about, As you would know Pete, learning the track. More time you spend there the better you will get. Tricky track with a lot of nuances that need to be learned so as to be able to get the best out of your laps.
