When it comes to paint

ok i hope this gets people thinking,what is a good colour for a zed??
what is a good paint theam???
two tones???
tribal???
candy???
flake????
any ideas????
this being said soon my zeds going for paint.its red originaly,my bay is red but can be easily changed.i was planning on sting red (holden 2k bright red) but then went to metalic then candy then yellow then white.just thought i might get some good idea's

 

always liked white on the Z. on most sportscars, really.

 

all my cars and utes/work trucks have always been white,yes its probably the best colour.plain ho white or pearl?i never really liked pears but ill ask,

 

My Z's blue/black metalic with red tint in the clear which then changes with bright light .
i'm happy with the result,

Mazda 3 metallic red is stunning

 

have you noticed how mazdas colours are all fluro like?
so wat do you's think of mazda metalic red with gloss black bonnet?

 

No black bonnet my opinion id go for one color all over no grafix no two tone there good for a while then you get bored of them and hate your self, makes your car harder to sell etc, one plat color appeals to more ppl easy er on the eye.
i wouldn't spray it white as 300zx come white go house of color candy or a dupond pearls.... the pearl that mazda come with are very plain flat looking no depth if you know what i mean my cars a dupond pearl yellow/ orange some say gold and has been for like 10yrs now no fading
If your in NSW ive got the best painter in Australia won many awards pm if you want there number...

 

2nd that, the paintwork on mr0300's car is superb(I didn't realise that it was so old).

 

I would just paint the lot that mazda red. If I was painting my car again that is what I would have.

It really is beautiful.

The depth mentioned above I beleive is a function of the clear coat. I am sure there is just one or 2 coats on a new car. Nothing stopping you from putting more on your repaint.

There is nothing that can beat a bright red sports car

But then if you want to stay anonymous and have nobody wave or even notice you as you drive past, go for silver or white

well are you after bright colours? i prefer the darker reds the same model mazdas (like this) came with. i think thats the same "copper red" as Chrispy's mum's car.

white car with minimal and very clean body mods look tough. very easy to maintain too.

really dont dig candys or airbrushing/pinstripes etc.

 

So far all i can see is red,when i think sports car,i think red,i saw a suzuki swift gt today,that was a nice red,like the mazdas but stood out more.i want bright (hell maybe even fluro all keeps going to the sting red (like Ferraris) its just so bright that even on melbournesdark days it catches your eyes.

 

The problem with getting the best painter is it costs the price of a new car just for the paintjob.

 

Arctic white with the black roof bits (and I usually hate any differently coloured panels) has been lighting my fire lately

 

Would white look good on a widebody?

That green zed is awesome... evn if it has got an RB26 lol... would do pretty much anything for the wheels
