Multiple issues ..... brain storming time !

Stuck is STUCK.....

When the engine is warm the air regulator is supposed to be closed, so being stuck closed will not present a problem at normal temp.

If the air regulator is stuck closed it will ALWAYS be stuck closed, no matter what the engine temp is.

 

2nded. The air reg is the #1 thing to check for the cold start problem.

 

I changed over the cas and it made no improvement thats one more thing eliminated.

 

Cold start issue will be AIR REG

Fuel Filter needs replacing

CAS i already checked and was ok

ECU swapped out and was fine

Another working S1 ptu was put on the car didnt help miss

TPS could be a little dodgy i reset after you had because it was out again..

AFM swapped out and tested o.k.

 

Also i need to add the car sometimes when driving will start to miss and has no power so i let it stall and then let the clutch out and it restarts and the car runs normally again.but this dose not happen all the time.like some days it never dose it at all.i only have the cold start issue still.:bash:

 

Wouldn't hurt to check that the fuel filter is fitted in the correct way... next time won't be the first that one has been put on backwards. The flow is unidirectional as indicated by the arrow on the casing.

 

I have now replace the fuel filter seems to have some improvement but it still stalled and is still missing i am getting an air reg off bryan so ill change that when i receive it.

 

I was going to say replace the ECU. Did that happen?

 

did anyone check the water temp sensor
if its faulty you might not get the fuel you need at cold start but be fine at warm and vise versa....they do tend to go bad which also effects timing as well....

 

Yes we have tried another ECU it made no change.

 

I am now getting code 34 Detonation sensor failing and losing power when driving.Could this sensor be coursing this problem.

 

na that would just retard your timing a bit...

 

Ok so you have tried everything else. When are you going to swap the FP reg and damper ?

I will keep you posted they way i am going i will have replaced so many things the car should last another 20 years lol.

 

update: I have now replaced both PCV`s no change to idle and still missing next im going to change the Air Reg and The S1 ptu to a S2 ptu and do the fuel computer bypass.

 

Update changed the air reg but still stalls when cold and loosing power when warm about five to six time then ok, until i leave the car turned off for more than 15 minutes then loosing power again for five to six times again, can drive for a long time as long i don`t stop for to long.but i will say it dose seem to have a smoother idle now when it dose idle buy it still missing.:bash:

You havent replaced the fuel reg/damper or checked the fuel pressure have you?
