Okay, nice and short and simple.

Who is starting out or coming through Sydney for the trip to Armidale for ZFest?

Haylz and I are planning to head up through Buckets Way and Thunderbolts way to Armidale on the morning of Good Friday. It's a fantastic drive, providing we don't have severe rain storms the week prior to going, and will keep us away from most of the traffic heading north for Easter.

So can I get a show of hands for who is coming up and what time you had hoped to make a start on the Friday.

Now I hate the F3 on a public holiday, so I had hoped to leave crackers, (around 5am) which will put us in Armidale mid - late morning, although our accom is not till later that day, I'd rather potter around Armidale than sit in freeway grid lock.

    Now.......

    Yay! bring on Armidale! :zlove:

i have only ever really been through Thunderbolts back yard behind a semi-trailer, so i'm super keen for this!!

what happened to 3:30am Andy?? :D i guess we'll still miss most of the traffic if we leave at 5... and is probably a bit more reasonable for people who live in Southern Sydney....

for anyone who wants to join us, i have asked my buddy at Pembroke for early check in, i'll just need to know the names your cabins are booked in under to let them know who'll be there early. then we can all have nanna naps before the drinking and frivolity starts in the evening!! :D :zlove:

Have you looked at flights to Sydney? Then PSA up to Armidale. Especially if your driving a buzz box.

Haylz already suggested PSA which im considering but Im trying to decide whether id actually like to drive. Do you think anyone would notice if I took my plates off my auto starlet and put them on my new yet to be collected Turbo Starlet ? lol

    Depends...

Wouldn't advise it over the Easter weekend...NSW police are quite over-zealous.

We 'may' leave a day or two early to visit some friends on the way, but if not we're in.

Ok great. Are you guys comfortable with an early start to beat the traffic if you come up on the Friday?

I would not want to leave any later than 5-5.30AM. I get enough of traffic jams on my daily trips to/from work.

    Andy/Halz

If the F3 Ourimbah Rest area doesn't work for most people, then let us know a better spot and we will adjust.

    And Stu,

If you fly up to Sydney, you are most welcome to crash with us the night before if that suits you better. And if I blow a few cobwebs out of it I can give you a blue auto Zed to take up if you prefer that to the Toyota whatsisname - provided of course the number plate 300CAZ doesn't bother you.
