i agree that "most people" do modify the exterior long before the engine work gets serious, but take people like simmo (waztted), his car makes a bazillion hp and his exterior mods are a subtle nose panel, exhaust tips that can be seen from behind and old school wheels that are nice and wide for grip....
Exactly. Cars go from STOCK to MODDED Anything visual isn't "modded"....it's "RICE" And remember , Rice doesn't count. Hence the term "all show and no go"
"stock" doesnt apply anymore it was once that an engine was "stock" until you opened it up and went with new cam with adjustable gears roller lifters and rockers high kicker pistons and the like. You could add intake manifold and carb and extractors but the engine was still stock inside. Now you can take a hand full of electronic bits and a computer geek can turn a taxi into a 12 second car without really turning a spanner and the engine has not been touched inside.
i wouldnt call it rice, rice is used now to describe someones very bad taste in visual car parts. we should call it something else.

spotted white zed yesterday turning onto alexander drive around 4:45 when coming back form work. havent seen my fellow black zedder coming down gnangara road laterley, used to see him on a daily basis and ussualy got a wave
eh i did this..my exterior is completley stock apart from my rims and my half finished brazilian...but i have sprused up my engine bay slightly and my fmic is hidden behind the stock front bar lol.
red z behind me last night at approx 10.05pm at the waneroo road and ocean reef road lights, doubt it was anyone from the forum coz he was hooning. Maroon z spotted today on west coast drive at 4.45pm with vielside side skirts.
