New wheels finally arrived Unfortunately that means I have no more excuses and have to start working on it again Im reasonably happy with the wheels. They are good for the price. The machined finish on the lip is a bit rough but I may end up just painting them with vinyl paint depending on how it all looks closer to the end. Next step is to add more width to the guards. Fronts wont take much as I will only need 10mm extra to cover the wheel, rears however are gonna need at least 45mm which will take a bit of work. Good thing that xmas holidays are coming up :zlove:
Holy wheel specs. Liking the shape of the kit thus far. Though I like the shape of the front, I'm not getting the FD lights, but, it's not my kit. Keep it up.
Ive put them on the back burner for now. As much as I want them to work, the lines just aren't right. The bottom edge works IMO but the top edge introduces lines that the car doesnt have. I have some other ideas I try out when the sides have been redone.
Yeah my thoughts too. The outer bottom lines of the FD light match the outer bottom lines of the head lights, it's just that top line that doesn't work. Are you looking at making them driving lights or just indicators?
awesomeee work looking great ...so glad u ditched the rx lights they look terrible on this the side looks awesomeee
I have considered it but probably not. I really liked the colour I painted It last time. It didnt show dirt and looked classy IMO. Ill decide when the kit is finished. (may be too agressive to be classy) LOL On that note I've almost finished the new rear guards. I have a bit more sanding to to and I have to clean up the fuel filler but I should have some photos of the new hips soon
They are staying I don't like the look of the stock lights on a light colored zed and no way am I ever going Ferrari style. :vomit: May not be your style but its my car after all I'll just re do them so they sit a bit better.
As promised here are a few photos of the wider rear guards. Still have to to a little bit of matching side to side but I need to get the fuel filler door sorted first. I have to make a new hinge for it which will be a job for the next few days.
ztoy widebody ztoy, I'm really liking your project. Nice work you are doing and I like your new wheel choice.
Cheers Guys :zlove: I started the front guards this week. Added another 12mm to them. They are still very rough atm but will post pics when done
