I have been bombarded with emails and pm's over the last few weeks regarding the last FMIC groupbuy.

Soooo.... since all the hard work has already been done(intercooler mould, pipe jigs, welding jigs, etc etc)
i'm happy to do another run


The min order is 25 kits. I'll be purchasing 5 kits for zedders off the forum, so that means we only need 20 people to commit to get this groupbuy going.

Custom POD Filter pipe...

Hey James,

Any chance of making a custom pipe so that POD filters can fit when you install this FMIC and adding it as an extra to the group buy?

That way people can install the kit and not have to mess around later trying to get the filter in...

Just a thought. Let us know what you think.

a simple thing that ive seen is a 3" stainless 45 degree bend installed between the afm and the stock y pipe just after the afm, if you know what i mean, then u can rotate the pod so it sits behind the cooler.. $20, shouldnt cost u much more

I tried this and most pods wont fit anyway you turn them (there is very little room there with intercooler in position and with oil cooler in the way ).
If you get a filter that does fit it wont be getting much cold air. A pipe that goes across and under a headlight would be a much better solution, I am sure that many ppl from the first group buy would be intersted in this also.

A few Questions and Answers



Q. When is the cut off date?
A. Cut off date will be approx 1 week after we have 25 people committed to this GB.

Q. When will payments be due?
A. The full payment of $610 + post will be needed ASAP after the cut off date.

Q. Can we get the kit with red or another colour silicon hose?
A. No! Only blue can be supplier with the kit. Red hose can be purchased from autobarn.

Q. Will our air pod filters fit behind the FMIC?
A. Depends on the brand/size of your pod. The inlet 'T' pipe can be twisted down for a little more room. I'm using the smaller HKS mushroom pod and a few others are using the long K&N pod. Both of these fit fine.

Q. Will the FMIC fit behind a stock z32 bumper?
A. Yes! You will just need to trim a lip on the inside approx 1" to get the bar to fit 100%. This cannot be seen from the outside.

Q. Will my BOV's fit behind the FMIC.
A. Yes! There is enough room for another 20 BOV's

Q. What design is the FMIC's?
A. Bar and Plate.

Q. What pressure can the FMIC hold?
A. The FMIC has been pressure tested up to 50psi with NO signs of leaks.

a few minutes later i noticed PEXZED's yellow Z has the veilside c1 front bar with the fmic installed from the pix!!! lol

btw whats the brand of this cooler??? and is there any differences to say for eg this one
