Not to sure when this would happen as i dont know who would be interested. On the weekend, i went on a etuned-club cruise, it was pretty massive and long, i stayed from 10pm til 230am and it was only half way through. Went in my mates s15 and cruised with the perth s15 boys. was about 8 s15's Anyways there was a section where it was out in the zigzags and then when from there to a truck stop out in armadale. we must of been in the hills for about an hour, even more just after midnight. the air temp was pretty cold and the sky was clear. no wind or anything. there was also no traffic what soever out there and no cops anywhere. must of been at least 100 cars, even more. If i can find the exact route, who would be interested in going? it would be on a saturday night, 9.30pm meet for a 10pm departure, full tank required and probably have a couple of stop offs and prob end at leach hwy maccas for a feed. i know a lot of perth zeds are off the road so prob look to do this in a months time who would be keen?
that truck stop is a bit dicey, theres a 24h watchperson that will call the cops. you guys were probably just lucky because the cops had other shit to do but I wouldn't risk my car, hoon laws still apply to truck stops. Also, noobs need not apply for the zigzags, especially at night
lol well its not like anyone would be doing anything illegal yeah good point on the noobs. no offense or anything. but you could get into a pickle, but drive slow and u should be fine
If i lived down ur way i would be up for it , but alas i live in sth east QLD. Mind u we have awesome cruises up here thru the twisties. Maybee we should organize a night run like you are ? Trev
People crash on night cruises in mountains. We've lost a couple off the edge... Learn the road in the daylight and don't show off.
Ok, so this will be a late cruise Stage 1 Meet point at City West undercover parking at 9.30pm for a 10pm cruise time Stage 2 Truck Stop in Armadale which will be after the hill run, stop off for a stretch etc Stage 3 Leach Hwy Maccas for a bit of a yarn and a feed end Will last for a few hours, latest finish will be around 1.00am to 1.30am, not even. The air temp will be a little chilly, but very nice for the zeds to cruise in. Due to the time hardly any traffic will be on the road also. So this gives a good chance to relax and enjoy going up and down all the twisties. Headlights are a must and so is a full tank of fuel, even though it should only take half. Any racing, burnouts or silly behaviour will be done at your own risk. Bring a radio, channel decided on the night. Maps will be provided on the night. I have the route set out, but am yet to set a date as no one has really showed interest apart from trev, but he lives in QLD. So with that, everyone start showing some interest so a date can be set. will be looking for about 3 weeks time.
would SO be up for it... if my zed didnt require an extra 3k worth parts to get it just moving again...
LOL.. ill just tie it to someone else to get up the hills, then again, headlights were a requirement... mine dont work atm.. lol altho if this does go ahead, ill whore with someone else
possible Might be able to make it only problem is ,I'm an old man these days and 10pm is past my bed time. could be fun tho. Will see if I'm working and if lucky might even have the black zed on the road.
Is this just for Zeds? or open cruise? Also, can you change your cruise policy from "Burnouts/races are at your own risk" to "...will be asked to leave"? Just a thought. Depending on how the car is running, I might be in this one. Prefer night cruises with more people if poss. Shame i didn't know about the original cruise. been hanging out for a big event in perth (un-official event that is)
