Standard ECU with a generic after market tune on it probably. I wouldn't run it.

This could be the greatest tune ever programmed in an ECU!
    Will it match your engine?
If it isn't test run, or downloaded, you'll never know.

the guy i got it from was running stock turbo's/injectors and was apparently makeing close to 350hp unsure if thats any good or not but i have no need for it as i am going adaptronic

    they mainly specialise in subarus.

to find out how lean that tune is, go run it on a dyno and measure the AFRs.

Its not how lean it is, but how much ignition timing it runs. From the bin files i've seen jap tunes are fairly rich but run very advanced ignition timing.

    To the OP:

Does your car have any boost leaks, fuel delivery problems, afm problems etc? Because these tunes are a lucky dip, some are safe and can be run on 98 to a degree, others are borderline. If you happen to drop that ecu in and your car isn't 100%, you may aswell plan for a rebuild. A sudden leanout, boost spike or even incorrectly set base timing may cause engine failure.

Is there anywhere around that has various tunes catalogued? Would be interesting to see what all of these different chips have to offer. My ECU is Top Secret chipped (or stickered at least), according to ECUtalk timing runs from 42* to 2* and injector duty up to about 70%. small intake and exhaust mods, standard injectors/boost.

You would have to look at the actual map not what ECUtalk tells you. You can find maps on the internet if you look hard enough but if you dont know what you're looking at theres no point.

Any after market tune that isn't properly tweaked to your individual car is going to be rough/potentially dangerous, regardless of the sticker on it. bin it.

I agree with all the advice you've been given....

if you really want to run an chipped ecu you'll need to take this with your car to a known reliable Zed tuner and get a new map done for your car (as advised).

using this might work but at worst could damage your engine and then it will cost you a lot more to set it right.
