Yeah I was, but this sale was going to cover the cost of finishing the 12, let alone finding another car. I'm now significantly behind financially, and motivationally as I have an engine in bits that won't be completed in any near future.

Insurance idea !!!!!!!!!!!! Some insurance companies give you a 'grace' period in which to renew your policy after expiry. You could suggest you didn't receive the renewal notice and forgot. Why not ask them if you paid for a full year's cover over the phone right there and then, would they honour any claims??? Worth a try and you have nothing to lose... I feel so bad for you Andy... Sweet looking ride you had, you can't afford to leave a car like that out on the street especially if it's not insured . That really sucks man hope you get it back intact and find and beat the perpetrators within a inch of their lives.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, support and the promise of grievous bodily harm befalling those that decided that I was somehow they're employer and payday had arrived. Hopefully it will turn up somewhere, although in my infinate wisdom as a 25yr old I doubt it. It was a well done lift nobody heard a thing, and for my car as some would know thats no mean feat...clap clap *******, I was brought to my knees. If thats the case, I will still be around slowly building my dream of a V12 Zed, and come a day I'll be back, and to BlackBaz's cause, definately in black. If anyone actually thought my knowledge was valuable I'll still be around, but without all the queries, damn...now my post count will never reach bigbaz...I will however be destroying the BMW forums with impossible questions like recommendations on twin turbo setup for a BMW V12.
Heartless and helpless.... ...describes the culprit and the victim!! Dead and laughing might be a more apt description!! Perhaps a check of eBay in near and not-too-near future might be some help in pinpointing the bastard/s. Maybe we should all go back to the old Western gun-toting days...not too many horses got stolen without the owner get his own back - as well as his horse!! If there is a need of immediate transport drop me a PM; I have an old Supra in pretty good nick needing a driver who's just had his Zed pinched!! It's yours for the use if needed!
Andy thats absolutley shocking mate I was lucky I was sitting down when I read the start of the thread havent picked my jaw up off the ground yet though. Can you post up a fullish mods list mate list brands etc where possible it will be invaluable to any member who sees any fresh z gear come up for sale. I haven't seen any follow-ups to the other Zed's that have been nicked. Any of them ever been recovered? That's S#$T news man. I can only imagine how pissed off you must be. Not only are these people scum that steal cars, they must have the biggest balls in Australia. I mean to steal a car while its right outside the owners house??? WTF??? A story, a mate gets back to his car after a day of work to find the RIMS/WHEELS had been removed and the entire car was left dumped on the ground. They could have at least left it up on some bricks. And this was during the middle of the DAY!!!!
I feel for you Some years ago my next door neighbour was trying to sell his 8 year old V8 commodore. He had it parked in the garage, with a brand new (V6) commodore parked outside. In the middle of the night somebody broke into the V6 c.dore, rolled it back out onto the street. Then they broke into the garage and into the V8. About then John woke up and saw them drive away. He took chase in the old Tarago, but of course he did not stand a chance. 3 months later the cops found the car. The thieves had been driving it. They had even looked after it and done some upgrades. Lets hope the same for your car. It's sad, but you really need to watch out to whom you give your details. Most people out there are trustworthy, but there is always going to be the odd rotten egg.
Andy thats sad news mate we all know how you feel cause the zed is an easy car to fall inlove with hope you get some sort of good news from this... Something seems to be up with our cars being spotted for theft, on saturday had my car parked at the end of my driveway cleanining out the garage. I heard a car some buzz bucket that sounded like a rotary it seemed to have parked out the front of my place, maybe 30 sec had lapsed so I poked my head out to see who it was at this point they saw me and just drove off, my paroniod mind tells me they where spotting my zed. what can you do with these low lives that have no regard with others stuff look what happened in noble park...
a zid would have done nothing for this zed. It would have been towed. So pissed off for him. He has had the worst run with his zed..
Zeds are uncommon cars on the road but worth there weight in parts. So chances are it will be sold off in parts, as you had the car for sale likely it maybe a case where they called and asked for your address of sometype possibly. Chances are they are professional thieves. Overall your car was targeted as your car is very appealing. Strange enough I called around for wreckers of Nissan Zeds and all tell me the same story that Z32 are hard to come by in parts. Supply and demand scenario. I am in sydney it may help if you gave us an indication where it was stolen suburb wise, in case a black Z drives around, there hard cars to see on the road so it will be more noticeable to notice. I urge all sydeny Z's to look out for parts on ebay or wreckers and inform Nissan wreckers of a stolen black Zed. A list of mods and type of Z would help others to aid your chances. Keep the faith
Hey andy.....very sorry to hear about this and your zed was one of the hot ones(mostly due to black and the wheels and the zero tyres)..... You say it is for sale...which i remember......just wondering if it was stolen as well it may have been someone who had a look at it when you had it for sale.....you never know....i had one guy who wanted to come see my old landcruiser saying it only my mum was there then i said naa i think i might get home in time and he made up some shit he couldnt come.......... SO IT MIGHT BE A BUYER YOU KNOW......mods sorry ....hehe...the caps got stuck
