Driving on the logan motorway today, bombing along minding my own business at the speed limit, then I hear BANG. Obviously with no other car within reasonable distance, and no debris on the road, some far kwar hurled a hard object at the Zed. In this case it was a rock. Rather than pull up on the spot and making them run away immediately, I continued on and pulled up out of eyeshot. Had a quick inspection of the car, sure enough rear wing damaged on the passenger side. So, I know how to access the back streets in the area where the rock was thrown from, so I make my way there ASAP, to kick some ass. Fortunatley for the little pricks, they were not there when I got there, because I swear I would have gone to jail for the damage I intended to inflict. The thing that angers me more than the cost of repairs, and the mindlessnss of the attack, is that I had Caitlyn in the car, and her head height is exactly at the same height as where the wing was damaged. If I had have seen them about to throw this object, my natural reaction would be to apply the brakes, meaning the object could well have come through a window instead, almost certainly injuring or maybe even killing one or both of us. I suppose one saving grace, is, that of all the body kit parts to hit, it is the only part of the kit that is easy to remove for repair. I have taken it off the car, here are the pics. Ouch bad luck man. Where is the damage on the wing? On the outer edge? Its damn annoying people who disregard other people property when they can get away. They wouldn't want to try that crap if you knew them or could get them.
That sux big time mate I have to agree, that is a pretty easy part to be fixed but the chance of something catastrophic is what plagues your thoughts. I suppose on the flip side there is little chance of this happening again, just avoid that bloody bridge and make sure to tell Mr Plod about it.
Well, Firstly, no blood, and secondly, I doubt any bird could fly into the side of the car, and cause that much damage. Besides, birds are quite soft, and go thud, this was a definate hard impact, and no bird on the road either when I ended up going back. Sad part was Karl, it wasn't a bridge, they were at the side of the motorway, probably hiding in bushes. I'll have it repaired and repainted within the week
Just asking... have hit cocky's before and the do break stuff and leave marks like you have.. and generaly dont leave blood marks, feathers in the way.. They go bang like you wouldnt believe..
Little shits???... but to the bird idea it can happen . I hit a bird on my motorcycle and it ripped open the lefthand side fairing and broke the lead chain sprocket cover so it can happen ... Anyway you look at it im sorry to here about the damage to your car
I appreciate the thought And I wish it was a bird to some extent, as I find it hard to come to terms with people that can do this without thinking of the possible consequences of their actions. I have hit big birds before, hell I have even run over an Emu , way different sound, and no explosion of feathers either. And also fist sized rocks in the breakdown lane, obviously they had been having some fun for a while, and had the Zed for desert.
holy j, greg ... that episode is not pretty to hear nor to see the damage ... damn scary ... and a bird is not going to do that damage at that angle .. glad that the results were not a lot worse as they may well might have been ..deo gratias .....

Yeah, like M&M said - they wouldn't aim at a shitbox old Torana or a Gemini would they. - They probably thought your car was a Farrari anyway. lol I'm glad the damage was minimal and on an easy part to fix. but even still it would be devistating to you to see it in anything less than "perfect" condition like it always looks. p.s. and if anything did actually harm either you or Caitlyn there would be a LOT of people on here out for blood! :bash:

I think it is Welsh for Kathleen Thanks for the words of support. I took the wing down to get some quotes today. $150 repaired and painted. I was expecting more. Still I would have rather spent that money on other things.
