For the second time today in 4 weeks my zed has thrown its power steering belt while circuit racing. I have a Ross Harmonic Balancer crank pulley from UAS and noticed when I had a good look at it today that the crank pulley and the power steering pully are not lined up, it appears as though the power steering pulley is set back between 5 to 10mm behing the crank pully. This isn't a problem on the street but when racing and loading up the power steering pump it ends up pulling the belt off the PS pully. One option to resolve this would be to put a spacer behind the PS pulley to bring it into line with the crank pulley. Has anyone else had this problem and is it actually possible to fit a thicker spacer behind the PS pulley?
are you Running an NA ps pump on TT? Cos I think I had trouble with alignment when I did the Conversion, I think I had to run the TT pulley on the NA pump, or something like that . might be worth keeping in the back of your mind . Andy
Mine is a 1990 N/A with an N/A power steering pump and the UAS ROSS RACING HARMONIC BALANCER for the N/A from the group buy.
