Who's got some examples of what security they went with on their Zeds.

I'm considering going with a 3 point imm/alarm system from brant $700 all up.

Can anyone suggest a better option?

    ZID is good...

Have read about these ingenious devices by Zed4life but not Insurance compatible :thumbsdown:

Can add to a existing Aust standard system though so thanks for the idea.:)

    Any others have an opinion?

    Cant go wrong with Brants

They are a good system. Personally Im using their keypad immobiliser with another alarm system. Very common for keys to be stolen to get cars these days so the keypad gives good protection plus a nice visual deterant.

when i get my zed, i plan to whack a ZID onit, acompanied with a cheap alarm off ebay (ebay has alot of bargains u wont believe), and i also plan to acompany both of them with a insurence approved alarm+3pt immobiliser.

    zid= like 140 or sumin.
ebay alarm= bout 200 (awesome value, remote start/locks/windows/antihijack etc.)
insurence approved= was thinkin a brant or viper alarm/immobiliser i imageine like 400-500$.

so about 1000$ total in security, but should make ya car safe ey.

nuthing like protecting your loved ones ;)

I installed a then top of the line brant alarm. It set me back almost

$1500 but it was well worth it.. They have further developed the units and are far more advanced than most. They have a 6 point immob... in some of there systems. Hard wired in 3 different places so it will take 3 times as long to figure out where and how to bypass.

It was money well spent i must say.

Thanks to all who put in thier 2 cents.

Only got back from a 1000km ride. Think brant 6 pont are bout 100-1400 these days but will probally go with the 3point + alarm as they have a spec going at the mo.

    Again cheers:thumbsup:
