Hay zedders, Just a quick question has anyone had any experience with when you rev your car up high and let go off the accelerator the revs drop down to zero and cuts off? My cars is in good nick ive been through the tech i havent had any leaks or anything like that just a standard turbo model what would be your advice please if any can help me out. Also i dont have any blow off valves just the standard plumback.
Things to check.. First do an ECU diagnostic for a possible fault code (in technical section) Check for boost leaks Check Idle Air Control Valve This is not a full troubleshooting guide but a good start.
Is It an IMPORTED model??? I heard that Japan Car,(not sure) when u rev about 8000rpm, engine switch off. Some friends told me!
Not sure about that usually reving that high would hit the rev limiter, not too sure what would happen with the limiter removed. I couldn't imagine an engine switch off, imagine what would happen travelling at 100ks down a highway hitting 8000rpm and the engine switching off.
