who is andymac..?? a short story about this nice guy.. i had just found/joined the forum and in an initial post, i asked why my clock was grossly erratic and how it could be fixed ... ( yes, another newbie question) .. guess who jumps in immediately, has a spare working clock, and posts it to me totally free of charge, will NOT take any cash or kind for it .. yes, ANDY ..!! that is the sort of guy who has had this act of absolute bastardry inflicted on him and his beautiful black zed... I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO OPEN/MANAGE A DEDICATED ACCOUNT to receive funds as per the CHILI suggestion/initiative .. to me a fine move ... will talk with westpac re an account tomorrow ...

These lowlife oxygen theives don't deserve to share the same planet we live & breath on.I'm really sorry & saddened to see such a nice 'Z' heartlessly destroyed in this way Andy. I know exactly what it feels like to have your pride & joy stolen from right under your nose as it happened to me many years ago ( not a 'Z' but an 'FJ' Holden that I built from the ground up into a show/street legal drag car ) but in my case it was located, stripped of course. It's very heartbreaking knowing all the years/time/effort & money you have put into it. But as hard as it may be for you to accept, because there's nothing you can do about it now, you have to get up & shake it off as a bad experience & move on.I feel sure all the members of this forum will help you out as best they can. Vote YES to public floggings Sorry to hear Andy and these low life?s that do this get stuff all to deter them being the main problem, as the courts are week and the even if they ever get to goal from steeling heaps of cars it is like a hotel compared to what it should be so not much deterrence. They probably used it to do bag snatches or break ins etc.
What I reckon - That car is too far gone for restoration - body is fcuked. I like the idea of donations rather than parts because as Chili mentioned, $10-$20 or whatever will be much better spent than having people donate parts/labour etc. If we can get enough for a cheapy, then he can just go and buy one instead of waiting for parts that may not be available or donatable ie:engine/box etc. As always. I am happy to help where I can whether it be parts or donations and will go along with whatever is decided. As another option, perhaps if donations were received, we could look at buying damaged from auction and rebuilding one that way. A TT zed damaged in the front at auction could bring as little as $2500 Food for thought.
This suggestion of a fund raiser in money terms by Lloyd/Chilli is probably the most appropriate way to help Andy get back on his feet & secure another 'Z' to his liking in quicktime & then do as suggested by 'Mark/Zed4life' in donating parts/bits & pieces in whatever he may need to achieve his goal.As mentioned in my earlier post this will help Andy get up move on & put this ''shithouse" experience behind him. This inmo would be a nice way of showing our appreciation for when he has helped us out in times past. wow, that's absolutely devastating. I'm over here from supraforums.com.au, and even though I don't know this guy from a bar of soap, I know how heart breaking it is to have a car stolen and trashed (damn low life coons) and esp when you have no insurance, thankfully the hsv wasn't burnt out. I'd like to donate $20 to the fund when/if it gets up and running. It's my worst nightmare for this to happen to my supra, after all the hard work that's been put into it. The Zed was a tidy example, and the owners pride and joy. I probably won't post here again, so if the fund does get up and running, then can someone PM me or drop me an email to remind me.
