any details on the chip for your point of view? Know how much KW gain you got out of it? Yours suited for Auto or Manual? Is it fined tuned for 98ron or higher only?

Sorry guys... Should of put more information regarding the chip..

I have a 92, but as far as I am aware this should fit easily into any NA zed between 1989-96...

From memory, when i first put the chip in the car i noticed a reasonable increase in power, but like anything, after time you get used to it. As far as fuel economy goes it's about the name.. there was no noticeable difference with it....

The only thing is that once you place this chip in, you will need to run high octane fuel at all times.... I use BP ulitimate..

    Hope this answers your questions

Sorry another quick question about chip. Does it come with installation instructions? And at the same time do you have other modifications to your car when the chip was installed?

No there are no instruction to install the chip.. I called power chip and asked them what to do as they don't have a office in Adelaide anymore..

I was told to take it to an electrical repairer like tv or vcr repair place and they can solder it into the computer...

When i installed the chip i had rear mufflers and a POD filter fitted to the car.. my car produced 140rwkw on the dyno after the chip install...

I'm very sorry to do this but i've got to say it...
You paid $650 for the chip?
or was that with the complete ECU?

All these "power" chips do is advance the timing to borderline levels. you may get marginally better response but at the cost of really pushing your engine to the point of near detonation. and only being able to run 98ron fuel.

You can buy similar to these on ebay for under $50. and just plug it into your socketed ECU if you dare.

Sorry for this but i just want to make sure that people are aware of potential dangers with generic "power" tunes. And i think the asking price is twice what it should be aswell. :sorry::sorry::sorry::sorry:

The reason for the sale is I am looking to sell the car, So i am pretty much returning the car close to stock as i highly doubt that having the chip in the car would benefit the final sale price.

I have also had the chip for about 3-4 years...

    Hope this helps guys

The reason I purchased this chip was after months of study and research i was lead to believe that the CHEAP ebay ones could be detrimental to my car. So i proceeded to purchase a more expensive version, in anticipation of not having any problems.

I advanced the timing of my car, pretty much at the same time of having the installed and NOT once did the car detonate...

I hope this gives you guys some clarity about the whole situation!

The chip was installed as part of the purchase price. I have since called an electrical repair place in Adelaide and they quoted me between $40-$60 to have it installed.

    Hope that helps

There is NO need to tune the chip, its pretty much plug and play.

The chip will need to be soldered into your computer, once that is done your free to go...
