LOL, you call that insulated !!! Those sleaves dont thermally do SHIT and the bottom of the rail is still in contact with the lower pleum. Have a look at the stock rail, the flags are only joined to the tube by a small fillet of braze AND the insulators have about 5mm of plastic top and bottom between the metal and the bolt. The less thermal mass the fuel rail has the better.
Yes i do call that insulated, and the bottom of the rail dose not contact the lower plenum at all stop the guess work B/S and do some rearch bud.
so did you go into a machine shop to have them drilled out, do you have a pic of stock rails for comparison? im thinking of doing this and twin feed mod to my motor with stock rail and injectors for drifting, just to be sure.. also any on have a pic of series 1 and 2 rails so ican check mine? i have a cima with z32 motor in it but not sure on series
easy way to tell is by the injectors you are using.. (disregard the arrows- not mine) series 1 pintle series 2 pintle-less
yea i just got a long series 13mm drill and drilled straight through the tiged new larger fittings on the end.
If someone has a pic or can take a pic of inside where the injector sits on a stock rail can they post it as my pics have gone missing.
No bullshit or guessing, look at the picture Wheres the gap between the rail and the lower plenum ?? If you are telling me that .1 of a MM of plastic is going to stop heat transfer between the lower plenum and the fuel rail THAT IS WHAT IS BULLSHIT. Fact is THEY ARE $700 BLING, dont work better and are in fact worse than what has been done with the fuel rail in this thread. The whole 300 degree fuel rail is in very close proximity to the lower plenum and will heat up a lot more than a stock modded fuel rail which is thermally insulated with 5mm each side of the mounting points with plastic. At least air can circulate around the stock rail. The bore size is identical between the two when the stock one is modded like Ezzups. Facts are NOT guessing and bullshit. Here's better pic Little or No gap here and if there is its WAY too small. No thermal insulation here to be had
Take it up with somebody who gaf, you can hack up as many stock rails as you like and say there the best thing since tits, but that fact is the 300deg rail is completely insulated from the lower plenum, so your wrong, again, in saying its not. As for the rest of your reply, its sad mate.
more pics took more pics of how restrictive these stock rails are before...... My new fittings....... Restrictive injector bucket Been drilled out before drilled out can just see injector filter
Pity, critiszm cant be taken properly. Clearly you CAN give a F#ck or you wouldnt bother arguing. Nothing sad about dispelling bullshit like "these are expensive so they must be better". Dont let the truth get in the way of a good story. If you think they are thermally insulated thats fine, hope you like em. The pictures DONT LIE. They are a piss weak attempt to keep heat out of the rail. May as well not have any shouldered washers on there at all for all the good they will do. I will leave this discussion here. The pics dont lie and future discussion is useless. Well done Ezzup
more pics ill keep out of this feud... im not saying there better than 300 degree rails just saying its a very cheap alternative to spending bulk money on them. Anyway more pics. these are of the vq rail witch i think are like the s2 rails chop chop ITS DRILLIN TIME AFTER BEFORE
wow i am very impressed, this is awesome news for me, free fuel upgrades, im deffinately doing this mod even with stock injectors, and the twin feed mod also! helps i am running 2 external pumps.. this is great work!
