First post, so my terminology may be slightly out
Hi guys. tried searching around and found nothing that was either answered or matching my symptoms exactly.
The car drives fine when cold, and generally behaves when warm. However:
occasionally, when accelerating lightly, the car begins to hesitate as if someone was repeatedly alternating between the throttle position and no throttle. eg: 30% throttle to no throttle. but really quickly.
I have found that the more throttle you use (up until a point) the worse it is, yet once you exceed that point, it behaves fine again. (Im assuming this is because it switches from closed loop correction to the WOT map)
probably the most extreme example of this is in 4th gear at 80km's
Also, the issue seems to occur more the longer you drive it.

    So far, I have changed:
    - O2 sensors
    - Spark plugs
    - Coil pack electrical connectors (more because they were all damaged)
    - MAF sensor
    - Cleaned connectors to TPS and CAS sensors

Also, I have code 55 on the ecu, so I'm unsure if it is an electrical fault.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, it makes driving my car very difficult (at least in an orderly manner) and I would like for it to behave again

Have you got a series one PTU or a series 2 ? if it's a s1 that could be a potential issue or if a s2 try another one to see it still does it.

    Egg ....

    Try cleaning

Your fuel injector connectors, or replace them as they're probably old and brittle.

    I have cleaned my injectors.
    Yeah but Im in Baldivis.

It may also pay to add that if I disconnect the o2 sensors, the problem goes away

    Fixed

Hey guys, just thought I would let you all know.
I recently took my dashboard out to change the heater core, reglue the dash etc. and replaced every fuse in the both the interior fuse box and the engine fuse box's
after putting all of it back together and double checking everything worked, dad and I took it for a long drive and have found that the hesistion/ stumble has actually been fixed.
We think this is down to the 10amp engine control fuse in the engine bay. although it wasnt blown, it had separated
    - 15 amp fuse in cabin marked acc 1 (which seemed to help all the sensors on the engine)
so although I am unsure which of the two or if both fixed it, after nearly 45 minutes of driving within what was the horrible part of the rev range, the car did not misfire or hesitate once
side note, oem boost gauge now works properly (although it isnt of much use anymore)
    :D

TPS? Check/adjust and if the problem moves to a diffferent throttle position then think about replacing it.
