    Hi all

Well after around 7 months af organising and setting this up its done and ready for the ONE and ONLY group buy of this product.

What is it you say well its considered my many to be THE widebody kit of choice for the Z32 loved by many loathed by some and all in all sexy as hell.

I am proud to launch in association with Gonzo the

Z Racing Evolution Widebody Kit by Gonzo

I have organised the purchase of an original Beet wide body kit from Curve in Japan with permission to mould the kit with slight alterations (see below) and sell a very limited number of units locally. After many trips to bodyshops and the like I decided for a number of reasons to get the local Z bodykit guru Gonzo to make the moulds and subsequent kits for the GB. Firstly his passion for zeds is very high. He also has large amounts of experience after finishing the current widebody kit he was working on. He has also come in a lot cheaper than local businesses which means we can supply the kits cheaper to you. This is the first time this kit has been brought to our shores as far as I am aware and will most likely be the last. So get in quick kits are limited

    The GB -

This GB as indicated is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get the fabled reworked Beet kit to be known as the ZRE Wide body kit by Gonzo. The kit includes all of the traditional peices of the Curve kit plus a custom fibreglass wide body rear bar made specially to suit the Beet kit (see pics below) and is actually a slightly modified version of the current wide pipe rear bar Gonzo has made.
This kit is to be sold as a complete kit no breakups are allowed if you choose not to use the rear bar that is your choice however the kit will be supplied with the rear bar regardless.
Spare panels will be available for the kit should any accidents etc occur.
It is preferred that all buyers paint there cars a different colour and use a different front bar design to keep every kit as individual as possible

Well you are all probably really keen on this by now so time to talk pricing. The original kit is costing me close to $6500 AUD landed and the kits will not be cheap, however will be considerably less than $6500 AUD
These will be an exclusive item and as such only 8 kits (1 for each state or territory preferably) will ever be made. My kit is a one off again and will be further modified to suit my plans and the look of ZX2NV so is not included in the kit count.

Okay I have teased you long enough now to the good part Price?

The whole kit including the rear bar will cost $3200 AUD and includes
Front Fender, front fender fin, upper door panel, lower door panel, side step, rear fender, rear finder fin cover, fuel cover, and wide rear bar.

Good news is just in case you fell over the price has been setup in a timeline so participants can pay it off gradually as per the following timeline.

$800 deposit due when you are confirmed as a participant and payable on or before the 12th of July 2007. Once payments are made Curve start work on the kit. (takes 3 to 4 weeks to make and box ready to ship)
$800 second instalment due on the 12th August 2007. This is when the kit is made and due to be shipped to Australia (takes 4 weeks)
$800 third instalment due on the 12th September 2007. This is the anticipated arrival of the kit and when duty etc is to be paid and the shipment sent to Gonzo. We will get together and make the changes needed and setup the rear bar design etc and get the process underway
$800 final instalment is due when your kit is made and ready to be shipped to you.
Freight costs for final delivery have not been factored into the pricing and should be organised specifically to your destination.

    CONDITIONS -

As the organiser of this whole GB and instigator of such I reserve the right to show the first widebody kit at the Autosalon Final Battle show in Sydney later this year and will also provide step by step comprehensive photos and a guide as to installation of the kit while fitting it to ZX2NV. ZX2NV will be painted the same silver but with more pearl and a slight twist which will make it even more unique. I will reuse the existing front bar at this stage but may use an Abflug bar once the kit is on and can visualise it better.

Payments - must be recieved on or before the due date I can take credit card payments via a secure company mail order credit card charge system or you can pay into the nominated account.

Cancellations - You may cancel you order at any time during the process however you will lose the initial deposit money unless another buyer is willing to step in and take your place. If this occurs please deal directly with the other party.

Custom badging - I am in the process of organising some custom stickers or badges for the rear of the car to help show off your kit. The whole thing needs to be finalised yet and more info will come as it is available

Now for the realistic part. This body kit is far from a bolt on affair. It will require cutting of your rear guards and rewelding of the inner fender in the new location to suit the wider tyres. The kit is actually stuck onto your car and rivetted into place, once done fibreglass or body filler is used to smooth the lines and blend the kit peices into the surrounding original bodywork. You will need custom rims with very low offset or use a set of custom wheel spacers. I am in the process of sourcing these items in different thicknesses which will be engineerable items suitable for street use.

http://www.curve-ad.com/s2/gallery.php?ga_code=10116 Similar to the front bar I am thinking of using on ZX2NV
Rear bar prelim design but with wider muffler holes to suit dual muffler tips[IMG]

So thats the deal and the group buy and this is it your one chance to get this kit at an extraordinary price. NO More will ever be made. Once the production run is finished I will store the moulds only for panel reproduction purposes. NO full kits will be made again its 8 full kits available and thats it.

I already have two interested members, So get in quick

    Cheers

I shouldn't do this but put me down.

Do you have a guesstimate on shipping to WA?

(My girlfriend was right, I get a promotion and I spend the extra money on the Z :p)

geez the gb of all g/b's Jason, good luck with it all :)
i have a few questions on this and this is what i found out
please correct me if i am wrong !!!!!!!! as i may be interested on this for my project(DEPENDING ON THE ANSWERS)
1/ to fill the guards up,you will also need to get huge spacers if people will want to use their own wheels and tyres (big bucks)
2/if you want to fill the guards up properly(and who wouldnt)buyers will need to buy very wide tyres and rims(so be prepared $$$$$$$$)
3/buyers will also need to check to see if any insurance company will insure this widebody kit on a zed

and i also have 1 more question,if filling the guards up with massive tyres and rims, wont the car now be deemed illegal as the track has now exceeded the 2 inches allowed by our road laws

I appreciate the effort you have done to do this, the wide body kit makes a significant difference to the Z and it's the right car for a wide body. The price you are selling it for is very good, others have to bare in mind its the body shop installation thats going to make a significant cost to the final product.

Wide body Z, I know the feeling.

    Wide Body

    Simon

You are correct to all of the above.

I was very fortunate that my Z came with an Ab flug wide body kit and its all metal not fiberglass.

Every state is different, but yes it is big bucks to all of your questions. I would stick to the legal size with tyres and rims, check with your local state RTA and yes I would get it engineered and RTA approved like I have. Some wide body kits with insurance companies do not insure fiberglass only metal bodies. Alot of research needs to go into this before people decide to go down this path.

Hey Jase, its Ali...shhh dont tell any one though lol

Just thinking why not buy that original beet show car (red one) that was for sale. Blipman it was from memory said it can be brought over for $26000 landed. Anyways just a though...but your on the right track man, that would be probably the sexiest beast on the road, or track depending on the paint job :)

Im also in the works for a customised version of the strosek kit which is wider but more toned down than this kit, but due to business taking so much time plus my full-time work kinda stalled for the time being. But we might have two widebodies in Sydney both different...Actually i forgot about ADEMON lol

Maybe a 3 way autosalon stand soon, with 3 very different widebody kits. And the issue with RTA, forget it....they will never pursue why its not engineered etc..they wont notice and you just say the car came like that complied.

sorry but i reckon your last statement is rubbish  ,do you know this first hand, would you be prepared to spend a small fortune on setting all this up,only to be told by chance"this car is not going to be on the road again" lol

i reckon this is a great deal jason is offering, just a few things to weigh up

What's your body kit look like ADAEMON?

And my postcode is 6162 ZX2NV. Yeah, a worst-case scenario is fine. I know it will only be a guesstimate to start. I have a terrible dent in my back fender so instead of spending hundreds getting it fixed, may as well cover it :p

As for tires etc. etc. I'd probably start with some spacers on the back (have either 8.5 or 9.5 inch wide atm) and then get bigger rims later. I'll look into all the compliancing stuff later. Situation might be different in WA.

hmmm, its just that i have been stopped numorous times for just random check ups. Once running an amber light etc Once being accused of speeding, and not once have they defected me for wheels which are 20". I even got a compliment from a senior sarg who told me "those must have set you back a bit" etc

Maybe if you have to take your car over the pits, but aslong as its registered i really doubt they will pursue it, especially if the end result looks smick and close to factory finish.

All valid points Simon and covered in the now the realistic part of the original GB post. I am working on some engineered rear spacers to work in conjunction with the kit, fronts are not really needed as the guard extension is only the rear section, the front bar and front guard stays the same width as current so not really a big issue. So yes use engineerable spacers for the rear which will be compliant for road use (check with your state or territory) As for insurance companies I would assume stating on the policy the car had a comprehensive body kit fitted would be sufficient and will check on this with Shannons who I am insured through currently. I will also check out the local ADR's etc pertaining to this type of thing and try to chat again with an engineer to help get some further clarity.
My understanding of the whole thing is that a 2 inch wider track is permissible overall from the factory track width without being engineered, anything over this would require the setup to be engineered. I think this stems from the fact that sometimes people fit non - load rated wheels with big dish etc and because the overall track changes so does the weight distribution effect on the unrated wheels which can cause stress and potential failure of the rim. Most good aftermarket rims will have a load rating per rim usually around the 700kg mark. So check your rims and I will update with further info next week
