'Z' - 3'' Dumps by SZ - now here.....

I'm in for a pair of dumps...

Definately in for a pair of SZ dump pipes. I'll wait for the price and shipping information on the test pipes before I commit to those.

I may be willing to loan dumps but I wasent planning to get test pipes. But now that I think about it would it be easier to just buy the test pipes ready to go rather than try to mate up my current pipes to these dumps?

Would these test pipes make everything basically "bolt on" ie mate up directly with my curent cats?

thinking off doing the test on your car rob? If thats the case the bellmouth will come out on top imo. The test should be done on a lower hp car, around 250-350rwk.

 

My car currently is in that power range and has unknown 5 bolt dump pipes, they are basically just a 90 degree bend then a big flared increase in pipe diameter so nothing special. So it might be a better real world comparason. Engine is stock, just bigger turbos, injectors, fmic, and a few other bits and peices.

 

I think that the test should be done on 2 cars, a super high hp car like Robs and a lower hp car like 300rwkw (GT28R).

That way more can be learned

 

there is no need 4 performance testing that has been extensively done in the US. if you search twinturbo.net they have some awesome results
i believe the only thing that hasnt been proven is the fitment on a RHD zed ..

Stock turbos with stock precats can only make about 17 PSI no matter what you do because of the turbulence and restriction.

Stock turbos with split down pipes can make about 20 to 21 PSI.

Here is Mikes Stock turbo Dyno with 3" expansion downpipes and it is making 24 PSI.


*Note that it was only on 104 octane and at this power level you can see it needed more octane and was detonating at this power level. With C-16 this would be a much smoother power band.

Yes I've got them.
Yes they do fit without any issues whatsoever, etc...
I'm a bit leary on buying on "should's", but rather "will" is what I'm looking for.
So no one has got these ahead of time from SZ or Labree and has already fitted them in the past? I thought there would have been at least a couple people here that have done so.

........they have been confirmed as being a direct fit to the RHD Zeds by one of the other distributors in the US of the same product, namely Concept Zed who is selling them now at US$750.00 plus shipping. Also Z-Toys, distributed by AMS Z Store, are a similar product eg:- 3'' Dumps, and are fitted to RHD Zeds. The Z-Toys product will be marketed in the next couple of months by AMS Z Store from Canada. I am also the Australian Distributor for AMS AND, for the Australian buyers, I have committed to receiving returns, if they do not fit, at a full refund including Postage.:zlove: That's how confident I am that there are NO FITMENT ISSUES...........:biggrin:

...............there are 3 guys wanting the pipes so far, so I will work out prices and shipping on three. I think, 3 pipe sets can be shipped fairly cheaply together at a better deal than just one set, but I will know more next week.
