I have gone through and tried the search but nothing has come up. I've been experiencing some hesitation problems lately so I've been going through the tech articles and I noticed the bit saying if it's a 1990 model then there is a chance of the car developing a hesitation problem that will gradually become worse. Here go right down to the bottom of the page. I've noticed it's a ttzed faq so I was just curious to know if that applies to J-specs and Aus-specs since quite a large number of the zeds here are 1989-1990.
well.... I havent read the TTzed page but my hesitation problems were caused by a dud O2 sensor. Check your sensors and see if one is being lazy. Cheers
It's not about my hesitation problem I'm not after ideas/solutions to what my hesitation problem could be. I want to know if this sort of problem affects our cars.
surely....... The problem has to be identified before one can say if it is going to continue or not? You might be putting the cart before the horse here. There are any number of reasons this could be happening...... Wade
I reckon it will. No diff if its NA or TT, if its got hesitation then its got hesitation. Mine did it too and when I changed the shaft,,,,,,gooonne.
Let me put it in another way When I search for hesitation problems from previous owners I see, - something regarding TPS, injectors, AFM, CAS, PTU, O2s or their connectors and dirty TBs. The two tech articles regarding hesitation problems covers all these and the one article I specified in my original post says ALL 1990 models had the driver's side head machined wrong and there's no quick fix except replacing the heads. I wanted to know if anyone has had this because I couldn't find it in search, and if it applies to all 1990 models, surely someone would have come across this already.
