Not too crash hot, better off with a Haltech if you want a standalone, or Nistune if you want the cheap and easy way.
Used to use wolf3d on my old Starion. I think I had version 4. Very good stand alone, with good resolution. I think you could run 4 auxiliary outputs, or might have been more. It's going back 7 years since I used it, but found it did everything I needed. Also the security pin number was handy. Best part was setting the rev limit when taking the car somewhere. I'd set to 3,000rpm whenever I took my car in to get tyres changed or wheel alignment. They'd always tell me there's something wrong with the car lol.
my bf has it in his ae71 corolla, its a 4age and hes getting power but theres no spark..we have looked over it like a thousand times and everything is connected but its still not working...any ideas??
Has he just installed it? Or has it been running with the wolf and recently stopped working? I was running it on a 2.6L EFI magna / sigma hybrid that my old man and I build. I had a similar problem as every few days it would smash the magnetic pickup. The harmonic balancer had too much movement, and when driving it hard it would twist enough to smash the pickup. In the end we fixed it with a sold mount crank pulley. Prior to that we were using the distributor as the source, but can't remember why we ended up changing. It depends on how you have it setup. What version wolf3d is he running?
I'd be checking the pickup. If there's something wrong with it then you'll get no spark. If he's using magnetic pickup with the disc on the crank, then make sure it has the right clearance. Don't ask me what it should be set to, but I know if it's a couple mm out then it won't fire. Like I said its been a long time since I last played with it but hopefully this will give you something to go on.
If you still have trouble, I remember wolfems had pretty good support: http://www.wolfems.com/supportindex.html
