if I done the AT converting to MT on my NA? The reason for the conversion is my auto box broken and wrecker cannot find another one to fit it in. One night, I cruise at 105km with using my cruise control, it hear some unnormally sound suddenly come from my auto box at high way, after 2~3 mins, the AT box unlock-up, automaticlly changed to 3rd gear, then 1 mins after, my Zed dont have any power can go though the gear box, the engine rev-up till rev-limit. i stop my Zed beside of the road and open up the bonnet, it had some smoke come from gear box and the i check the AT oil level, the level is alright but it had some burnned smell. i knew that the gear box is broken. my Zed can drive slowly at this time. than i bring it to wrecker to get the gearbox replacement. After that, i done the 2nd hand AT box replacement, then curise on same road. The same problem was appear again!!! but this time, the car totally cannot go backward !!! even that we towing it out with N gear or use R gear to move the car backward. finally, we use hydraulic jack to jack it up and use another car to tow my Zed out from the parking space and drive it slowly to wrecker again . I went back to wrecker and the gearbox still under the warranty, so they try to find other box to fit it in, they bring two AT gear box to mechanic for try to repair it for me, but they cant because dont have right parts, two AT box have the same problem, and same part was damaged. ( wrecker siad TT ATbox cannot fit it into NA ) I never put my Zed hard and i just done my AT service about 8000kms ago is that our NA Zed AT box really weak ? yesterday, they ring me up and said that i can think about to do the MT Conversion, otherwise wait other AT box ship from other state. They give my a good price for MT conversion, thats why i want to change it from AT to MT. Cheers :zlove:
cruise control yeah man i have cruise control on my zed, it was converted from auto 2 manual in japan, works fine no dramas.
