Isn't it uncanny how many of us

are getting work done at Colin's right at this moment !!! that polished plenum in Colin's cabinet there, Whilst mine is off I wouldn't be dissapointed if accidentally the polished one went back on by 'mistake'.Not as nice as this one but a great start ...

I am like that too! I am rebuilding my

engine with only little help from a good friend of a mechanic that i know.I doo need help with internals when it comes to it! But i took that engine out and i will be putting it back in. Ive given up on paying cunts to screw me for my money. P.S Knowing what the fault is and what needs to be done to fix it makes it harder for them to screw you up.

Buying a Z this weekend...what does a minor service cost you guys normally?

 

a minor service.....

is usually just an oil change, and oil filter, plus checking all the other stuff like coolant etc etc. Most of us will do this ourselves. The cost depends on what oil you use and how frequent you do it. Normally, under $100 every 5000km. Of course, if something else needs replacing then the cost goes up.Cheers

Now you know why I don't like Speed works

Customer service has always been pretty slack there, and the guys at X Speed always have enough time to at least see what you are enquiring about. Interpower too.
Doing most of the work yourself helps, but that takes years of tinkering with cars before you can know most of the pit falls involved.
Good luck with your search for a good mechanic.
