hey guys just got back from the drags with a good turn out, and a warm night with track temps consisting of 40+ degrees but stil some good numbers turned out, some worthy of being added to the list. I was firstly a lil dissappointed with my run as it ended early due to sycro's not co-operating so with only 3 runs my 2nd run i ran: 15.125 quater mile time 0.850 reaction 60' 2.383 sec 92.3 mph Im happy with my NA mt 2+2 my zer0psi :zlove:
it ok mate, next time, gives me time to work on gear box, if it was a lil cooler times would of been better.
yeah was a good night and a few good results had......yours spikie was pretty good as was michandys, but will leave it up to them to post up if they want......... my results on the other hand were quite a dissapointmen, but hey, what can you do...... my best in the convertible was 17.143 and despite my best efforts i couldnt coax a 16.999 or better out of it, which would have been nice. the strip really showed just how little low down power and "oomph" the heavy convertible has, so gives me a few key area to target to put down some better times...... being treated as a bike also meant that i had a full bike jacket, long pants, gloves and a helmet on for every run so i nearly dies of heat stroke, but i think i lost a few kilos of excess blubber in the process so not all bad!! anyway, see you all at the next event....
Yahoo What a rush , First run sitting there sh#&#ing myself, dump the clutch and pin the throttle, wheel spin off the line through to 3rd gear and still get a 13.63 sec @ 107.52 mph with a 1.452 reaction time . 5 runs with the last being my best 13.445 sec @ 107.52 mph 0.0754 reaction time. Everybody had a ball and I saw a lot of smiles on faces, there were a few of us first timers there and I think we all did quite well to get through the night and be able to drive home at the end. Until next time, Andy
Weld done Andy, you should be proud. And remember there is no shame in coming second.... Once you get into single figures you will understand what real drag racing is all about :rofl: *cough* 7.99 *cough*
considering your cars lack of extra boost, i think you ran some respectable times as well brock......
Had a blast It was great fun Best time was a 14.087, which I'm reasonably happy with considering I NEVER got second gear!! All in all, a great night. met some zedders I hadn't come across before. What a great bunch of people! Soooo, now I'm looking at the new boxes on Coz's site. Can someone confirm that the '98 box fits the '89 TT?
Cheers Ross, It was good to get a bench mark for my future upgrades. And it was a good night as well.
Ha Ha 7.99 sec, That was a good time! pitty it was at about that part of the track that I flew past ya . I think my time for that first run was marked for the 1000' track Just joking mate , was a great night and I think we have to organise this again :zlove: Andy
