all the convertibles are reasonable rare. a factory manual one even more so. factory purple is rare. the original pearl yellow is pretty rare. slicktop is uncommon....maybe not rare but uncommon 97 or later is rare in this country. factory recaros are rare. navan genuine accesories like the wing and gearshift. light up altia panels as factory option. factory roof racks exist but are rare as hens teeth.
not long ago we had a 89 NA 2+2 JDM for sale locally in slightly better than average condition that is no damage other than the odd car park scratch, no obvious rust, peeling paint, or other cosmetic issues. completely original, exhaust, wheels, stereo everything not even aftermarket tint. the owner wanted $15k ono and was not asking because it was so original but because it was what he thought that these cars are worth. to me that could be as rare as one may get.
??? rare? They are all...... [TIS] It would be rare if it had the original oil in it still. If a pentroof was rare then steve millens car would be rarer or the Bonneville Z would be really rare! ALL Z's are rare - regardless as all other Z's are inferior There will only be one true Z! A bog stock Z is like an ice cream without the sprinkles - c'mon get some style about you and cough up to make it your own! :bash::driving: JC :zlove: the cream is the new front the cherry on top is the UAS V3's (rare?)
I have to agree with you on that mate, there's not a lot of zeds up here in Rockhampton so that to me is kinda rare. And yeh who the hell wants a bog stock one?
It's hard (not sure if this is appropriate wording) to keep a Z32 completely stock, forever. There are some things that with time can be upgraded to better than factory as technology/knowledge has improved after 20+yrs such as: - Suspension (shocks for eg. Bilsteins are better than stock) - Plenum hose bypass - Aluminium radiator (with electric fan setup) = more room in the engine bay. Not as intimidating to the un-initiated. - Updated stereo - Exhaust system (2.5" with LARGER Quad Tips. The original Quad tips make the rear look very average. Larger quad tips transform the rear) - Removal of exhaust restrictors - More boost with 555 injectors for more power - Traction control (a must. This should have been factory from the start) - Oh, and for the love of GOD, some FATTER Rear rubber on fatter 18" OEM rims, OHHHHH. (225's on the rear is a joke for this kind of car). If someone could make OEM rims in 18" x 9.5" I'm in!!! I reckon if this car was made today, these would have been some areas of improvement (trying to keep it real here) and this would be one very serious CLASSY weapon. So my point is, OEM is great, but modifications such as above done with TASTE and PROPERLY would be better, IMO.
I rekon I reckon if they made it today they might call it a 370z or Z34 :zlove: Everything can be improved upon with time and the advancement of technology
Exactly, now picture sitting a current 370, next to say a New 300 with the above mods (call it Z35). WORLDS APPART. (No disrespect to current 370 owners) But, honestly, Just new OEM 18" 9.5" rims alone on these cars, with appropriate suspension adjustment (so that it doesn't look like a tractor) is all that is needed. Even the 2000 spec Z32 to me looks extremely average compared to previous year Z32s (especially with that HONDA Integra spoiler). What were they (NISSAN) thinking? At least throw in some FATTER 18" OEM rims. And forget the Recaro seats and the fully sick bro white gauges. To me, non value adding.
There is nothing rare at all about your zed. The only thing that is rare with your zed is taste [TIS]
i have a factory twin turbo slicktop auto with abflug power superior exhaust in platinum metallic mist with tweed. apexi turbo timer, mbc etc...
Unfortunately I was party to tearing down a 1989 NA Targa Top. Someone had T-Boned it. What's so rare about that you ask? It was VIN number 032.
Mine is marked with chassis number 00072 - one would assume mine is the 72nd zed that was made? (1990 JDM 2+0 NA Slick Top)
I hate to say it but i dont think vin numbers work that way. Mine is an 89 model but my vin is 03499 which mould counter act what u assume your vin is listing.
