It'd be a stock one with the ribs shaved and painted.

So many equally deserving owners with literally hundreds of hours invested in their engine bays alone.

Many thanks for the mention rollin, MikeZ32, Brock32. Engine bays like Karl's tend to get my attention. Just painting things and popping on chrome covers while everything is still in it's stock position isn't really customizing IMHO.

Here's a few old pics of mine just after I painted the engine bay (the first time) while the engine was still sitting in there>>>

And here is how it sits atm, welded up almost everything, deleted a heap more and NOTHING but an engine going back in there while retaining goodies like A/C.

    Love these pictures!

Especially the last few. My Engine Bay is due for a respray in about a week's time, so expect very similar shots very soon! Except mine will be Charcoal Grey :D :zlove:

It's the Brake Fluid lid that's been with the car since I got it , and I've just never paid it any real attention...

    Cheers,

    Iain..... :zlove:

    Touche, rollin... :p

    Yes it does...

After giving it a little bit 'o' thought, since the rebuild was a couple of years back, it occurs to me that it was a brand spankin' new part for the rebuild, and came with the yellow cap... The original was pretty shagged, so I binned it... Can honestly say I didn't give the cap any thought...

But I can definitely see your point, and might have to do something about it! :D

Hi Rollin, would you have any idea how the carbon fiber look was done on this engine bay. is it done with 3M wrap?

Done by Modicoat, now called Mad Coatings. Process is called Hydrographics. Could not be happier with the stuff, had it on there 6 years now and still like the day I had it put it on.
