changing your cams or extractors..and if so is it alot of difference?

my guess is cams would give more power?

I don't have a whole lot of experience with teh VG30DE but I have experience with the old 240Z's - extractors first will give you a bit more top end etc and is something you want to have to maximise the benefits of the bigger cam shafts, as they too work on the top end flow of your motor (depending on profile).

    Re: that does

Make sure you have a full sports exhaust system to get the most from your cams and headers. You will need your ecu retuned to account for the mods too so get an SAFC or something.

    Re: ive already

Well no there are the "front pipes" which go between the headers and the cats and then the cat back goes on from teh back of teh cats

So in short you need front pipes and high flow cats too - just when you spend all this money bear in mind how cheap 300zx Twin Turbos are and that you will get so much more power out of them for your $$s

    i realise that

bro but its not gonna exactly cost me a couple of thousand to do some pipes and extractors..just when things go wrong with TT's there pricier to fix..

    Re: i realise that

i would think you would get alot more gain from the extractors... the cams on 300zx arnt that bad are they?

for NA i allways thought the modlist was, sports exhaust, extractors, underdrive pulley, good plugs + lube.

cams wasnt even involved, are you talking about just bigger intake/ex or are ya talkin about fulley adjustable cam gears over using your vvt?

It is pointless changing just your cams and not your turbos etc.

i would like to see the result of cams in a NA

although way out of my price range, a future rebuild with cams and higher compression is not out of the question

    ROCK ON NA POWER:LOL:

oh ok lol didn't realise, well it would still be a waste without any head w

ork and a valve job, or paired with extractors etc.

man, cams do give a gain on na cars.

i know a guy with a NA sr20de. he has powerfc, step 1 hks cams, extractors+zorst, z32 afm, bigger injectors(not needed), pod filter. and hes making like 120-130rwkw. which is pretty good for a NA 4cyl. prolly go faster then a fully stock tt zed down the strip.

cams do give a gain, they do give alot more with supporting mods, but on their own still help. head work isnt nessicary for new cams, but it would be helpful, as would headwork on anycar.
