    Hey,

I crashed into the back of someone on the weekend, only a little bit of a scratch on both cars but enough to have to stick in an ensurance number.

There car is at home and i need to describe over the phone to my mother where the engine number is so i can give it to the insurance company and get the claim moving.

Come to think of it...can it be found on the rego papers??

    Thanks,

    Josh

Yeah it should be on your rego papers. The number is on the rear of the block at the base of the drivers side cylinder head. You may have to clean it with degreaser before you can read it though but you can see it with a torch if you look down the back next to the brake booster.

Do a search, this topic has come up many times before and photo's are also included.

You really need someone that already knows where it is. If theres someone in your state that has done this before it might be worth getting them to come round:p
