where does this screw go?

was putting back my dash in today and cannot figure out where these 2 weird screws go

Anyone know if these are factory and if so where do they go?

 

whenever I take my car apart and put it back together I'm always left with more screws than when I started

 

arent they the ones that hold the cluster in? on the bottom left/right

 

No, Becareful what you put where. Those screws are the ones that hold the dash in place up the front near the windscreen. The shoulders are there to STOP you sqaushing and breaking that plastic dash frame when you screw it down onto the steel brackets under the windscreen. The vents push down over that area and cover these afterward.

There should be 4 of them. Dont use normal bolts, You WILL bust your dash

 

4 or 3? I can only recall 3 bolts going up near the windscreen, left right and center

 

actually looking at the manual it looks like all the dash bolts should have shoulders on them (8 of them)...

I have only ever seen them on the dash top near the screen. They probably should be on all the points where the plastic bolts up.

I have pulled 10+ dashes and only ever seen them on the top windscreen bolts.

Got a few of them in the bolt box. I should prob use them on my car and replace the standard bolts I have on the lower dash attachments.
